No I don't, I want to put forward my suggestion of who I think would be a good surrogate for Sanders if he wins the nomination per the OP. I've made my suggestion and I see no reason to change that.

Like I've already said, I'm not a Sanders guy but, if chosen, Klobushar would be my best choice for him.

I challenged you on the relevance of that with respect to the OP.

This isn't about whether you think a Sanders presidency would be good according to you. You've already made your position patently clear. I imagine if Sanders does win the election, that victory will have absolutely nothing to do with you. It will be out of your hands just as Trump's election was out of mine. Your opinion will be irrelevant.

iowa proved she can't hang with the bigs, she was lost & intimidated imo... she's no tulsi gabbard, neither are the rest of those clowns... the dems lost their chances by sh*tting on tulsi out of revenge for her being outspoken about hillary...

The VP gets about 15% (if that) of the attention of the POTUS, she'd be fine!

Xanax Mike has hung in great this last three.

not whether she'd be 'fine', however, sanders would need an 'establishment' type vp or he won't get their votes, so she'll suffice...

Oh for sure. That's why I suggested Xanax Mike Pence.

He can just sit there and bow to the will of his new boss while looking slightly pained without being quite sure why!

Although I'm sure he wouldn't accept the position, I'd take Biden based alone on his position on organized labor.

That was then this is now

Klobuchar again voices concern about potentially having Sanders at top of Democratic ticket

Washington (CNN)Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar on Sunday doubled down on her position that Sen. Bernie Sanders, her self-described Democratic socialist rival, would hurt the party if he becomes the nominee.

"I am not a pundit, but what I do know (is this), I am the only one on the debate stage when asked, 'Do you have a problem with a socialist leading the Democratic ticket?' ... (that said) 'Yes.' And that is despite the fact that Bernie and I are friends, we came in together," the Minnesota senator told CNN's Dana Bash on "State of the Union."
"Here in Nevada, as you were just talking about earlier in the show, we don't want to kick 149 million Americans off their current health insurance in four years, which is what Bernie's bill would do," she added. "People are much more pragmatic. They want plans and not pipe dreams. I am the candidate that brings that and I think that's why we are surging across the country."

    Better point smashingly made. Touche!

She could easily change her mind after she drops out which will be a shame because I like her. I think we could use a "figurehead" president rather than a driving seat person for a change. She'd be great in that role and let congress do the legislating.

Look at the complete 180 Lindsey Graham did on Trump. Didn't hurt him politically one bit. People have short memories these days and I still say, he (Bernie) calls, she answers.

    EPIPHANY + like a flash
memory fading like the light bulb effect on my retinas.

SANDERS BEST PICK FOR VP IS Tulsi Gabbard.
Remember, we are talking "votes" by individuals.

    thus spaketh Moi :oldman:
    1) Enemies besides Kamala Harris? Not hardly.
    2) Break into the more Military Loyal GREAT RED MIDDLE.
Than means she brings something to the ticket.
    3) Babe appeal. Can't deny Lookism. And she be buff too.
    4) What of feminist threatened by a "babe"?
Reminds me of when Black Press asked if Obama was Black Enough '08
Femmes will have to come "on board" the ticket.

And so it goes. I see upsides with fewest downsides including "gay", race card, gender card, etc. and them opposed.
McCain lost my vote on the Palin IQ Card. heartbeat from presidency.

    gotta go
    lucky reader

    Synopsis
The choice of Gabbard would not deny any Hillary State

and sway some of the Great Red Middle, Trump States.

I doubt she would even answer the phone call. I don't think you are going to find a lot of people outside the AOL group that will be clamoring with anticipation to sever in a Sanders administration and actively support his policies.

She's going to be looking down the road when Trump is no longer the incumbent and will not want to be tagged as the losing VP candidate in a Sanders campaign and all those clips of her taunting his policies and socialist positions.

I'm not so sure Bernie does lose. I'm no particular fan of his but the fans he does have are fiercely loyal. There are many that believe that, if he had been the candidate, he may have beaten Trump in 2016.

Newsflash to conservatives. Many who voted for Trump didn't do so under political stripe. They did so for a number of reasons. I heard this one on the TV.

"Why did you vote for Trump?"

    "Because he's funny".

    ...........and this:

    "What about his behavior?"

"Oh! I know he's obnoxious, that's why I like him."

Not exactly Federalist level political discourse.

When Trump was running for office, I could not conceive of him winning but he did.

You may not be able to conceive of a Bernie win but maybe people will be just bored and want a change?

Maybe they like him because he's funny or obnoxious, or speaks with a weird accent.

Idiocracy isn't partisan. Forewarned is forearmed.

The consequences of her being on the ticket to a losing race far outstrip he not being on the ticket and he wins. I don't know of any who believe he could have beaten Trump in 2016 and few if any who believe he can now. Especially after his recent comments about Cuba and his continuing to up the cost of what his presidency will be.

From the last debate I sensed sth about Elizabeth, you see she doesn't attack Bernie but sometimes she just bullies him a little bit. And since they have so much in common maybe she is the VP. Or maybe she would be his secretary of education.

We are in a different era but I sense you're still singing from the old hymn book.

Exactly how many Bernie supporters do you think will be affected by anything he says about Cuba? I'm not also seeing how that will be an issue among other younger independents.

Most of them won't even remember why Cuba's an issue. That's not to say they shouldn't but, as I'm trying to point out, people have short memories these days.

I was just as indignant that DJT couldn't possibly prevail after the ***** tapes and yet he did.

I'm wondering if more and more people are just accepting that these major societal changes won't take place at once and unchallenged? He might be able to alter some things but he won't change them that much.

I think she would be the most likely of the good choices that I can think of right now.

She'd help him compromise with more moderate lawmakers.

Stacy Abrams is the smart VP pic IMO.

I suspect that Bernie is going to be One and Done so whomever is the VP has a leg up in 2024.

Stacy Abrams is a strong pick because she is from the south and adds balance and moderation to Bernie.

Tulsi would be a better fit as SoD IMO.
