Not true. Obama had 3 different ones in 8 years. Trump will no doubt appoint his 3rd one quickly,... and that will be his 3rd in his 1st term.
The average life span of a press secretary is around 2 1/2 years. Roosevelt, Truman, Ford, Reagan and Clinton all had press secretaries who lasted less time than Spicer. Sarah is close to average. Truman, Johnson, Bush Jr & Clinton each had four.
