I don't know why you don't know your friends from your enemies.. Trump doesn't know anything about Saudi Arabia, Iran, the oil business or the Middle East either. He doesn't read and he doesn't do briefings.

 

Why are you so focused on Trump? Our last 5 Presidents are FAR more into the Saudi pockets than Trump.

As a woman who "claims" to have KSA ties, you should like Trump.

 

Iran hates the US .. The Saudis are very pro American and are very stable... always have been. The difference is that Iran developed under the British model.. Arabia developed under the American model and the ARAMCO brass was determined to keep the US government from meddling... and they did.

You are making the assumption that those American's care about being the hegemons of the world or even who is the current hegemon. There are much more important things. I say we focus more internally and strengthen our current alliances outside the ME. Colonize the moon, focus on research towards more efficient methods of energy production. China can do what it wants with the ruins. We should be looking up, not outward for gratification. We know how failure always follows in that regard.

Yes, indeed. For centuries, Britain (a.k.a., England) was a great military and economic power. Their wealth and growth as a world leader was enormous. That was then... and now... they're just a little island full of confused, angry people, with no idea about what to do, or how to do it....

The one (ONE) smart thing they've done since the end of WWII was to keep their own currency -- the British Pound Sterling. That's it... that's all. Everything else has been a ruinous, wearisome disappointment to its people.

South Carolina has 250 business that have been doing business with KSA for over 20 years.. That's jobs and paychecks.

40,000 Americans live and work in KSA.. Do you think they would stay .. some times 3 generation expats if it wasn't a good place?

I know you said you were there, but not for very long.

 

I've been there longer than probably 99% of people on this message board. I've been to a lot of areas in KSA that have religious police monitoring where I take pictures. Much like oppressed nations, KSA doesn't want the world to see the dark side (which is most of it).

 

They are going to see this country go socialist because they have been convinced that is what would be best for them. Our education system is tuned to that and it is inevitable at this point.

My generation's highest ambition was 'free love' but this one wants free everything. Our vision was far too narrow.
