There wont be sanctions. The right stands up daily claiming that “well at least we have a president who is respected on the world stage because he’s tough”, and then the first real time he’s challenged, they all say start qualifying and justifying why he isn’t thought with things like “well their is a billion dollars on the line.....”.

I would ask all those on the right what is an american life worth ? Just gimme the number so that the next time this happens we know....

 

They are hard to punish. They are a strategic ally, an important one in the Iran/China/Russia conundrum in the ME. They also effectively control OPEC, and yes, are poised to spend huge amounts of capital on weapons, to do some of our dirty work. To ignore these realities is amaturish... bordering on childish. Europe will have to take the lead on this, and us in a support role. I firmly believe sanctions will happen.
