Wednesday’s highly anticipated public impeachment hearing amounted to a ratings flop, with only 13 million viewers tuning in, according to reports. The hearing, which featured Bill Taylor, acting U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, and George Kent, a senior State Department official, was teased as a “bombshell, given House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) allocating Democrats more time to dominate and minimize GOP voices in the first hour. Nonetheless, Democrats failed to live up to the hype, as reflected in viewership. Those too young to remember, back in the 50's there was a Sen. Joe McCarthy, (R - WI), who used to wave a paper around and claim he had a list of names of people in the state department who were admitted communist. I watched the idiot on TV. No one ever saw the names. I see a similar situation with Rep. Adam Schiff (D - CA) . The media gave McCarthy lots of press and he was a cold-hearted attack dog. I see a similar situation with Schiff. Finally McCarthy was called out by a brave broadcast journalist, Edward R. Murrow, and later disgraced when the senate censured him. I see a similar situation with Schiff and believe it's time for congress to censure him. Schiff kept telling us he had solid proof that Trump colluded with the Russians. No one ever saw that proof because he had none. Now look at the circus he is chairing. The man is not mentally stable, he has to be delusional, and should not be in any kind of leadership role in our country. Come on congress, show some maturity and backbone.
