With this one, it does not seem to be contempt as much as purposeful ignorance and drawing attention to himself. Think of the four year old who disrupts mommys tupperware party by running naked through the room.

Like I said tecoyah, I'm happy to be ignorant if you're happy to be gullible, and your continuing personal rudeness toward me bespeaks that I've proved you to be gullible and you don't like it. Talk to me if you wish to, but don't talk about me to others. Thank you.

Unfortunately, I have found attempting to address you directly to be futile and frustrating, thus do I instead join the rest of this from discussing you instead of having discussion WITH you. What you refer to as rude is actually simple honest critique of what you project here so rather than complain about it you might self evaluate in order to change the perception.

Thank you for that. Question: have you heard the latest 'science' news, that plant-eating dinosaurs 'strayed from veggie diet'? I mean it must be true because the BBC says so, doncha agree? Question two: Do you believe it? Question three: Can't you see how utterly condescending it is - you know, as if the 'news' is aimed at children rather than adults with full-developed brains?

Stating something as benign and innocent as something "May" have happened is in no way akin to stating it did, This is referred to as an hypothetical in science and is a means to explore possibility in order to gain understanding, which IS what science does. As dinosaurs are long extinct but birds do indeed have omnivorous diets, I also find the possibility to be quite likely however. Any condescending feeling you get is exactly that...a "Feeling". It does however fit a pattern of over sensitivity and persecution complex often seen in your postings. You probably find this reply to be condescending as well even though it is simply honest answering of questions you posed.

I see it as maintaining my sense of self-respect in that nobody makes a fool of me. I'm an intelligent man and let nobody say otherwise - especially someone less intelligent than me, or I'll give them both barrels!

The issue here is that the only one who can supply your "Self" respect is yourself and you do the opposite for others because of what can only be described as the lack of intellect you claim you so possess. As a general rule when someone claims to be genius they indicate by doing so that they are not.

Weird isn't it. Here I am at a debate forum debating....that's the way these things work. People exchange ideas and positions until one either quits or is trounced. There are times however when the trounced are unable to recognize or accept the result and continue digging a deeper hole, this often leads to a futile continuation of a dead debate and unrecognized humiliation.

But you don't have the result, all you have is speculation and conjecture of stuff you've read in some mag, so it looks like impasse?

Actually that more aptly describes your performance as the majority of my data is derived from multiple peer reviewed and verified sources ranging from scientific journal and papers to encyclopedic or acquired information obtained from years of study and observation. It would seem your offerings are from YouTube video confirmation or active imagination creation and run counter to everything I have spent so long gaining understanding of. The perceived impasse is a result of the later part of my commentary concerning an inability to recognize being trounced.

Yep, you have the last word as per usual. (I hope!) Oh before I go, have you heard that 'dinosaurs brains weren't as big as 'scientists' previously thought? Here y'go, read all about it . . .

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-23514985

I mean how ignorant we would all be if it weren't for scientists eh? How such vital information can enhance our lives for the better?

Likely "Dinosaur" brains varied in "Size" just as any other animal group. The brain size does not designate much of anything beyond physical possibility. Our current brain is smaller than that of the Neanderthal, and is much smaller than a whales.

Wha'evah! All I'm saying is Does any of this meaningless childlike crap add to the sum of human knowledge and does it make any difference in the grand scheme of things? I think you can guess what my answer to the question is? A bit fat NOT ONE BIT!!

Obviously all of this "Matters" enormously, it is the reason you are able to type a reply to this message due to accumulated human knowledge not only creating your computer but also developing the brain and neural synopsis capable of language and advanced thought process. It makes the difference between your dog eating the kibble you provide it and you thinking about what you want for dinner. it designates the difference between my understanding, accepting and articulating the realities of natural sciences and your denial of the same.
This "meaningless childlike crap" is only meaningless to your childlike mind, which is a pity but does not matter ONE BIG FAT BIT in the grand scheme of things.

Though I do not truly mean it, it seems appropriate to recommend you listen to your inner voices and do as they suggest in this case as that would not matter one bit either.

You really don't like me do you - and all because I've made you feel stupid. The archetypal case of 'shooting the messenger'.

Actually I have no feelings about you whatsoever as I have no idea who you are. Admittedly I find the "doctor you play on TV" to be little more than moderate entertainment and mental stimulation but no worse than many to be found on these forums. I might feel a certain level or compassion when considering that you may actually be serious about the things you type but, even that is filtered through the electronic haze.

Now you're seriously irritating me; don't bother replying to any more of my posts because I won't be seeing them.
