Why do you consider this to be "utterly condescending"?

The other day I saw one of my dogs eating an apple. I am not surprised since this dog is devoted to my spouse and she snacks on apple slices while this dog sits at her feet. I am sure the dog was curious and when the opportunity presented itself she took the opportunity to try it for herself. So far I have not seen any ill effects and it would not surprise me if she did it again.

Now this is anecdotal but what is "utterly condescending" on your part is to ASSUME that plant eaters never consume anything other than plants. There are sheep in Ireland that eat seaweed and that will contain various crustaceans that cling to the seaweed. Do you believe that they spit them out?

Yes, but the 'news' wasn't about sheep or any other vegetarian creature which proves its vegetarianism every time we observe it eating its preferred diet, it's about dinosaurs from squillions of years ago; and the 'condescension' bit is not only the source expecting everyone to believe it without the slightest demand for proof, but to even GAF anyway? I mean do you care? Or are you enlightened in some way by being informed of the scientific theorising?

The article stipulated that there was actual proof as opposed to your bogus allegation that this is "theorizing"!

In other words there is proof!

    To pretend otherwise is disingenuous.

This is an example of science correcting itself. The original theory that plant eating dinosaurs were strictly vegetarian has now been supplanted by the evidence of what has been consumed, digested and excreted.

It is, quite literally, evidence etched in stone!

Why deny the facts when you can literally hold them in your hand and see for yourself?

But you're naively taking their word that it's 'proof': for example, if they showed you a pile of dried-up animal droppings from a fortnight ago, saying it was million-year-old dinosaurs' poop from a million ago, how could you deny the claim?Or would you just believe them without question like a child would?

Have you never seen Copralite?

That is fossilized dung. It comes in all shapes and sizes and when you find it in the same place that you are digging up the bones of duck billed dinosaurs and their nests and eggs the odds are they are the ones who were taking the dumps.

This was taught in my daughter's middle school science class because her teacher had it on his desk and he would lick it just to gross them out.

Or do believe that dinosaurs used flushing toilets and had sewer systems to get rid of their droppings?

This is the first time I have ever been put on ignore for being more intelligent than someone. He will likely click on "Show ignored post" shortly and view this message so allow me to express how completely pathetic this is and how insignificant in the context of his inane contributions to
You have no case to rest, instead you have unfounded speculation that you complain of while ignoring everything actually verified.

Well this is precisely what you don't comprehend - nothing is verified, it's all pie-in-the-bloody-sky nonsense aimed at the gullible!

Actually I 'showed ignored post' because I thought it was from someone else whom I have on ignore - I'd forgotten that I'd put you on my list. :roflol: I won't be making that mistake again, oh no!

You can't rest something you never had in the first place.

That really is a pathetic riposte D_T, I'd have expected something far more erudite from you.

Given the complete absence of any erudition in the OP I was just sticking to the same tone that it set initially.

Nope. A clear case of Science Derangement Syndrome.

Wake up and smell it - they're fooling you. Whatever nonsensical and non-provable drivel they publish you believe them. Children believe everything they're told without question.
