http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/19/world/europe/scotland-independence-vote/index.html?hpt=hp_t1 The people of Scotland have spoken.
William Wallace is turning over in his grave. Really, why would Scots want to give up the gravy train
Well they would have had a good claim on the North Sea oil rights. I dunno, as someone from a Scottish Family (Grandpa and Grandma came from Edinburgh and Glasgow) I'm torn. I think there would have been a lot of turmoil but I think they would have come out of it for the better. At least the internet won't get bombarded with 'FREEDOM' memes now....
Eh, they put it to a vote, they voted, it's done. I thought it interesting they opened up voting for folks down to age 16. Not sure if they expected that to tilt things one or the other. It was reported the younger generations were leaning toward staying under Britain, so maybe that was an intentional tactic?
Why don't you try some reading comprehension or maybe try being honest. Even the 'no vote' block, refered to the negative economic impacts of separation with England.
It's obvious that you know nothing about Scotland. The independence movement was propelled by the feeling that England was neglecting Scotland and they weren't getting what they wanted from London. The independence side promised that a yes vote would mean greater rewards for Scotland, so the asinine notion that they voted no because they are lazy, shiftless bums addicted to sucking at the government teat is as laughable as it is dishonest and ignorant. That sort of puerile nonsense may fly among the rabid right in the US to justify their hatred of their fellow countrymen, but everyone else is tired of such inbred stupidity.
http://www.bbc.com/news/business-29124551 sure ignore articles such as the above all in your crusade to attack those you disagree with.
Wow, you can't get anymore lamer than your post. The number one reason the vote turned out the way it did, is because the economic impact of separation with England. Get a grip and deal with it.
Why would he take time out of his busy schedule of projecting and putting words in other people's mouths, too look at facts It's much easier just to talk out of his ass.
Lucky for MI6, because I have it on good authority that "Bond...James Bond" was going with his native Scotland, if faced with the choice !!
LMAO...So finding an article makes you an expert. What arrogant nonsense. Most right-wingers can't even find Scotland on a map, yet they prattle on mindlessly trying to denigrate a people that they know nothing about. All they are really doing is projecting their crippled world view on everything around them. Get a clue. The Scots did not stay in the union because they thought it would provide them with a better handout from the government. Stop spouting the loser Romney's 47% meme that served you people so splendidly in 2012.
So much wrong with one post i can not believe it! 1) I never claimed to be an "expert" but it seems i know more on the matter then you do since all your knowledge is you think i am a rightie so you must do nothing but insult me. 2) I am part Scottish....I dont pretend to be an expert on Scotts on them however like you are trying to portray yourself as. 3) The only one projecting is... you. 4) What handout have I brought up? More blindly insulting people as if you have a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing clue what you are talking about. 5) I didnt support Romney now why would i "spout" anything from him? You are completely intolerant of other people that is plain as day. Stop projecting your nonsense onto me.
Hey wackado, nobody said that the Scots are on welfare from England. That's your idiotic projections. Scotland's economy is linked with England. This is a fact. So why the hell would anyone want to risk their economy for the unknown of independence. It was already stated that if Scotland did vote yes, they shouldn't expect to be using the Pound for currency. You know what upheaval that would cause in the Scottish economy? That would be like a state leaving the US, and getting kicked off the Dollar. Seriously, grow the (*)(*)(*)(*) up.
