eligibility has to be decided by an able body of modern supreme court judges.

“I shall not burn my press and melt my letters”

Newspaper publishing in the days of Ben Franklin and his grandson was a filthy, grinding business. Fighting for freedom of the press was an even more wretched a task.

    By David Talbot

Benjamin Franklin created America’s free press, but it was his beloved grandson, Benjamin Franklin Bache, who fought and died to give it life. The story of these two remarkable early Americans raises questions that are still relevant today: How do you keep alive an independent press? Should the media be guided by a spirit of impartiality or partisanship? Should journalists risk aggressively crusading against a presidency if they feel it’s threatening the values and well-being of the nation? Though they were both ardent democrats and critics of government by elites, Franklin and his grandson embraced different answers to these questions. And the American media today is similarly divided as it struggles to sort out these issues.

Ben Franklin’s Pennsylvania Gazette, which he began publishing in Philadelphia in 1729 at the age of 23, was in many ways the first modern American newspaper. It combined news and opinion along with gossip, sex advice and sensationalistic crime coverage. A man of the Enlightenment with no patience for puritanical repressiveness, Franklin reveled in producing a popular paper that not only reflected his progressive politics but his earthy — and occasionally bawdy — sensibility.

look at this. he looks like he's lying again, body language.

    http://obamareleaseyourrecords.blogspot.com/2011/11/obama-on-contested-birthplace-i-can.html

he should do a press conference with that tubby abercrombie to lay out the details of the conspiracy.

since you guys have determined the eligibility issue, can you tell me if marco rubio could automatically be eligible to be vice president, or will the issue come up in the election.

why the democrat smear campaign against him a couple of weeks ago ?

As far as I know Rubio is eligible to be President or Vice President- this I say only because I assume he was born in the United States, however, since, just like every other Republican Presidential candidate, I have seen no proof that he was born here, or that he is 35 years or older, or that he has lived in the United States for 14 years. But I assume that he meets those qualifications and is eligible.

Funny thing about some Birthers- they assume he was born here without any proof at all, but then they assume he is ineligible without any proof at all either. Gotta appreciate the humor Birthers bring to the campaign.

I don't know of any democrat smear campaign against him. There was something about his family story being incorrect, but I never paid much attention to it. Frankly, I don't care what he claimed about his family story. And in the end it would be up to the voters.

You aren't talking about the smear campaign by Birthers, claiming he isn't eligible are you?

this next week should bring some interesting new evidence showing that obama's birth certificate is a forgery. there is growing interest in the birther issue and all signs point to obama being impeached sooner rather than later. he would be the second democrat president in a row to be impeached.

One of the hallmarks of Birthers are predictions of 'something' happening at some point in the future.

Yet they never come to pass.

Corsi's mole in the Department of Health. Trumps private investigators. And those are the more concrete of the predictions.

those two guys got him to buckle and post that hilarious forgery the week jryy's book came out. i'd say that was something. especially after they said they had already released the birth certificate. aweful coincidence i'd say. (aweful, meaning "full of awe").

So this is the something big "next week there will be something really big happen."- you leaving?

And I thought it was going to be the report by the Congressional Research Service demolishing every Birther speculation.
