Scott Walker warns GOP 'at risk of a #BlueWave'

This warning took place after liberal Rebecca Dallet trounced conservative Michael Screnock in the race for a 10-year term on the state's high court. It was the first time a liberal candidate who wasn't an incumbent had won a seat on the seven-member court in 23 years.

A couple of quick notes: Technically, the candidates for the Wisconsin Supreme Court are "unaffiliated," but the truth is that the race for the highest court in WI is deeply partisan and the DNCC spent money in the State to help Dallet win. With her win, conservatives still control the Supreme Court by a 4-3 margin and Democrats will not have a chance to take control until 2020 (assuming they successfully defend one of their own seats that comes available next year).

One of the reasons that Walker warned of the #BlueWave is because this election makes a total of 41 seats at the State and National levels where Democrats have successfully flipped a seat previously held by a Republican. Next up are a pair of special elections that Walker finally ordered to take place after being forced to do so by a pair of Court rulings.

It is an extremely recent election result that has larger national implications and further conforms the national trend. It seemed an interesting topic and this forum seemed an appropriate location for the topic.

Scott is warning Republicans they need to show up at the polls because a angry foaming at the mouth TDS voters are definitely doing so.

 

I don't expect that many of the Trumpettes are going to be bothered to show up to support a Republican which probably criticized their god emperor at some point over the last couple years, especially considering the fact that they won't be able to justify it by supporting their troll commander.

People who support Donald Trump are not going to be very motivated to vote in a midterm election for a candidate that likely criticized Donald Trump during the preceding years if Donald Trump is not also on the ballot.

 

And that is precisely what Scott was warning of. Better show up at the polls because the TDS crowd is definitely going to do so. Many of us are disillusioned by Republicans but Democrats are even worse so we need to vote or lose any chance at all of Trump implementing his agenda.

 

I think the OP is trying to help the Republicans by gently reminding them if they are nonchalant in the Midterms they have a chance of losing some seats.
