    i think you misunderstood... the sanctuary cities want illegal aliens. anf they don’t want their straight white men to have guns. 2nd amendment sanctuaries want all law abiding citizens to own a gun if they want one, but they don’t want illegal aliens. so, a trade satisfies the wants of both parties.

    what a ridiculous statement. immigration law is duly enacted by congress and is therefore the law of the land. sanctuary jurisdictions act in such capacity to nullify the duly enacted law of the land.

    illegals for some, guns for others (or both for some, though I dont know of any that want that).

    There is no murder clause in the Constitution either. Somehow, people still go to jail for that.

    That is true, but here in New Mexico many Counties have declared themselves a 2nd Amendment sanctuary. This is because the democrats railroaded some new laws through which would require all gun sales, even between private buyers and sellers, require a background check.
    Now read the constitution of New Mexico and realize why we are declaring 2nd Amendment sanctuaries.

    "No law shall abridge the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms for security and defense, for lawful hunting and recreational use and for other lawful purposes, but nothing herein shall be held to permit the carrying of concealed weapons. No municipality or county shall regulate, in any way, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms"

    No mention of militia, just a straightforward protection of citizens rights from government.

    i was speaking specifically to jurisdictions that harbor known illegal aliens as the other poster was trying to claim (i think... through his mangled english) that congress does not have the authority to set immigration policy, though it is clearly empowered under art. I, s. 8, clause 4.
