Thousands converged on Michigan's state capital to gridlock the streets to protest quarantine and social distancing in the state.
I think these people are stupid as Hell especially that so called 'healthcare' worker interviewed by CNN, does that B' actually think only people with symptoms can carry this virus; I guess that's what happens when people start mating with produce in the Midwest.
"I truly believe that B' in the car is retarded as Hell and has no business breathing our oxygen."

and if you think this is posting a duplicate, it's not, the first thread was alive and well until some stickler to the rules shut it down forcing these changes, enjoy!

I believe this now complies with these rules, and that's all I'm saying about this, thank you.

At some point, the shutdown will exceed the devastation of the virus. The wise thing is to realize that point and do what must be done (open up again and isolate those at risk, to the degree, possible)

Their governor is hosing herself. She's got some kind of weird authority thing going on in her head. Her post as co-chair of Biden's campaign has clouded her response to working as a governor with Trump in this pandemic thing. Her approach to the lock down is part of the reason people are protesting rather than the lock down itself.

I remember, when a girl was RAMMED to death, by a right winger that didn't like him some libs protesting peaceably, and the right wingers said, they ALLLLLL had it coming, for impeding the driver, and frightening him. He was convicted of a hate crime, but NOW, the right wingers are being deemed ROSA PARKS, by white house right wingers.

PROOF, that right wingers practice situational ethics, like declaring the elderly DISPOSABLE for the economy, and free association of the youth.

I'm elderly and I want my kids to go back to work and my grandkids to go back to school. I'll follow the guidelines and take my chances.

    Nice rant though.

That is not what they are protesting.

The lady in the car is practicing social distancing until the reporter violated it. How many interviews did the reporter do until he got that one out of context ?? BTW, she is advocating a herd immunity strategy which is being successfully used in Japan and Sweden. Sweden has the same approximate population as Michigan but has a lower deaths per million of population number.

Perhaps you can put parents on, of DEAD KIDS, saying their dead child was worth others kids getting back to work?

Children are in more danger from child abuse now that 22 million have lost jobs and many more are forced to stay at home than the Wuhan virus.

So, what you are saying is, that America is so corrupt, mean spirited and immoral, that if they are forced to do the right thing, they will boil the cat, beat their children and kick the dog?

Been a while since I've seen a Whaler logo :)

Parts of America will lie down like sheep if told too for as long as they are instructed too. Sad.

Other parts, not so much. Hell even the liberal mecca of Austin is starting to rebel against this lockdown.

Tejas is starting to reopening soon as are other states. Florida already did.

    Great to see.

Domestic violence is up. No one disputes that. Simple logic, stick people in confined spaces for longer than normal with more outside stress than normal and that is what will occur.

Yet one more reason to end this and start the reopening process. If people choose to stay at home still they can, just like before the mandatory shutdown.

Yes. Curiously you can see an "H" in the Whalers logo - they of course became the Hurricanes in 1997. And of course who can forget the Howe line - Gordie, Mark, and Martie (not sure they ever played that way).

Agreed - it's time to open back up. The big government governors however have had a taste of power and are loathe to relinquish it.

Generally crime is down, WAY down, in almost every category, so shouldn't we all stay inside Forever?

It's up to you if you elect to do that. Howard Hughes pulled it off for years.

    Pies too.

Every biker knows to wash their hands after pumping gas; might get cage monster crap on us.

No motor boats, did that thing really say that? Definitely too many cucumbers for the governor.

Not just that. If government quarantines people for an extended period of time in a small apartment or house, and then doesn’t allow them to earn an income, the eviction notices start arriving and things can go bad.

She's a power mad Nazi. And she may not be the dumbest one. Check out this clown:

Law prof, former US Attorney, and NBC News analyst can’t fathom grass roots lockdown protests, so offers bizarre conspiracy theory

This crisis is exposing the extremist ideology and lunatic paranoia of many members of the ruling class.

Barbara McQaude, professor of Law at the University of Michigan, NBC News analyst, and former US Attorney (a position of incredible power and responsibility) is embracing the theory that Russia is behind the demonstrations in several state capitals protesting the lockdowns:

Mueller found that some 2016 political rallies in US were organized by Russians on social media. These active measures seek to divide and defeat us. Ask yourself who benefits from American deaths when protestors gather during COVID19. https://detroitnews.com/story/news/nation/2020/04/17/hundreds-defy-idahos-stay-home-order-capitol-protest/5157593002/… via @detroitnews
Has Professor McQaude asked herself the same question about the Mueller investigation and Crossfire Hurricane? Now, we know there is evidence that Russian disinformation was the basis for obtaining the FISA warrants.

That’s a lot more evidence than the fanciful notion that Idahoans, Michiganders, Wisconsinites, Minnesotans, and other heartland protestors, who are facing personal financial ruin over the arbitrary measures imposed by their governors, needed prompting from Putin’s minions to turn out and demonstrate.

The fact that this woman was in charge of deciding against whom to bring the mighty weight of the federal government until 2017 is frightening. Ask Roger Stone or General Flynn or Paul Manafort what happens when federal prosecutors decide to go after you.

Another reminder that when Conservatives support 'law & order' policies they only mean for them to be applied to ethnic minorities & poor people and when they claim to be 'pro-life' they only mean themselves & foetuses. If this virus targeted mainly foetuses they would be screaming for martial law & shoot on sight orders. Old people & minorities, however, can just die.

The notion that this is some sort of ideology or political movement, rather than just adolescent selfishness carrying an AR-15, has once again been shown up for the absurdity it has always been.

Yesterday’s Republicans - John McCain lived for years in a cage with a cot and emerged a strong, resilient person.

Today’s Republicans - stuck at home for one month with the Internet, showers, TV and food and booze and they freak out.

Ronald Reagan would be so proud.

    Not.
