    Six of the seven impeachment managers selected by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi supported the impeachment of President Trump before the whistleblower complaint was filed. What a surprise!

    Trump has not invoked Executive Privilege as the reason why these witnesses must remain silent. He is claiming Absolute Immunity.

    This only means the claim of EP might very well be overruled, if the court ever ruled.
    It hasn't ruled this, however, because the Democrats chose to not take it to court.
    Thus, the claim of EP stands.
    The Democrats impeached Trump for a legal exercise of executive privilege.

    They voted to impeach him for the reasons partially related to the Whistleblower.

    While looking for something interesting on TV this afternoon, I happened across the wearisome little 'procession' of Schiff, Nadler, and the others as they marched over their half-baked, no-substance impeachment trivia to the Senate.
