Don't feel bad. I just heard Trump on TV and he doesn't know about it either.

They're visiting workers or tourists, not 'migrants'.

Well if this is the form they use, then I don't understand the meaning of this thread or the relevance of it all and all the discord ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

    American Community Survey
Questions on the Form and Why We Ask

The one I posted was only 10 question?

    Because it's true. You're welcome.
I'm not here to resolve your reading comprehension issues; but you can certainly ameliorate them by refraining from attributing to me statements I never made, as that serves only to cloud your perception.
It has plenty to do with illegals...
    ...and that's why.

I don't think so since it was signed in 1868.

Yours is the one used every ten years. The one I posted is done every year.

Way to focus on an utterly irrelevant data point.

Funny. That's what I was thinking about your meaningless response.

But it doesn't really matter now does it?

Your cogitative limitations, contrived or otherwise, are not my problem.
It certainly won't matter to those who are content to see the census abused to empower the party of larceny and treason by counting illegal aliens.

Well, I think we've covered it pretty well, but if you can point out in the constitution where we should only count citizens in the census I'll look.

There's no reason for me to do so, as I never made any such claim.

I've seen good reasons for opposing it. There is a reasonable expectation that it will lead to a miscount. The other side is the one short on explanatory power. As evidenced here.

As persuasive as you declaring " because it is" as your attempt at defending of your position, I am going to opt to pass. Please find someone at your level and you two can aimlessly bicker until the cows come home. Not interested.

So you are only capable of playing word games. What a shock.

Next time, try to comprehend what you read. Then respond to what was said in an intelligent way. I know you think that would make you a liberal but it won't hurt, I promise.

That's irrelevant in the terms of House seats. The House is there to represent the citizens, not illegal aliens, therefore places with high illegal alien populations have a civic duty to report this to the federal government and take all necessary steps to reduce the illegal alien population. Instead they make themselves 'sanctuary cities' and then whine when that backfires on them...

An illegal alien IS a resident. They reside somewhere, don't they? You are forgetting the purpose of the question. It's to ask about citizenship. The census is about RESIDENCY. So which is it?

Breaking into property isn't about imaginary lines. It's about violating constitutional rights. There is no constitutional right violated by someone being here illegally. They didn't "steal" anything you owned. You aren't entitled to a job therefore you can't claim a loss if someone here illegally takes it. You weren't harmed by that, you just didn't get an opportunity. Unless you believe you are entitled, you snowflake.

If they want to fill out the form, great, that will save me some time.

What you should really think is why wouldn't all those illegal aliens you deride as criminals and terrible people lie on the form? If coming here illegally makes them equal to burglers and rapists (Trump's words, not mine) then what's stopping them from lying on a form? If they all say they are citizens, what then? Is it a crime to lie on the census? If so, how would you go about determining who lied and who didn't? More over, what makes you think illegal immigrants participate currently in the census and since this question is designed to stop them from doing so under the threat of deportation, why would any of them answer no on the forum?

Also, are you aware that you can be here legally and NOT be a citizen? I'm certain you are. What does this question mean for those people?

You aren't discussing the point of the OP. You are just railing about illegal immigrants. We've heard your griping before. Now, why don't you move beyond it and discuss the topic at hand? Probably because you know there is no point to the question other than to give Trumpies like yourself something to gripe about.

    No they're not.

If you're unlawfully present you are not a resident.

It means nothing to those who are lawfully present, since we already know they're here and are lawfully present. Thus, residents.
