Does anyone else see that Trump is trying to force Sessions to quit so that he does not have to fire him? All that just because Sessions recused himself from Russia investigations. I did not care much fir Sessions before but he just may be showing some moral fiber. Thoughts?

Those were warning shots to Sessions telling him to step up his game.

Good riddance to Sessions. He is far more dangerous than Trump in my book.

We don't always know what is going on behind closed doors, and the media don't help us with all their fake news and suppositions. But based on what I have seen if I were Sessions I would go to Trump and tell him to knock it off berating me in public and complain to me in private. If he refused I would resign. If he agreed I would tell him the both of us need to hold a press conference together and put a stop to the rumors.

In what way? I see him as a bit more conservative than I am but he would not have the power or influence to do as much harm as you may think.

i think that you like many others have been on an IV drip of anti media cool aid !! do you blame the media for what Trump is saying? Is the media the blame for reporting what Trump is saying about SESSIIONS WHEN THEY HAVE VIDEO/AUDIO?

Step up what game ? The game of covering up potential embarrassing and / or possible illegal actions by the Trump crowd? You notice that I said possible illegal acts because we do not know as yet if the acts of the Trump gang were illegal but they sure as schist are embarrassing and detrimental to the USA. Hell of a way to make American great!

    Sessions should NOT resign.

He should obviously force Trump to fire him (if Trump wants Sessions out).

Obviously, Trump wants Sessions out so that he (Trump) can appoint a new (or acting AG) that will close down Mueller's investigation.

If Trump appoints an acting AG that closes down Mueller's investigation--Trump should be immediately Impeached (and Tried) for Abuse of Power.

Trump's Mentally-Deranged Circus is getting more PATHETIC by the minute.

His current Twitter Meltdown long ago crossed the line to a Public MENTAL BREAKDOWN.

    Tragic for the Country.

EMBARRASSED to be a U.S. Citizen.

It is a HORRIBLE thing that the Trump Presidency is doing to America.

Trump did a big favor for the dems getting Sessions out of congress, and soon out of the WH. How many purges now? Flynn, Spicer, Manafort, ...Sessions?....Kushner?....Junior? It's like Apprentice all over again.

His control over the justice system is the problem. He's directed them to seek the maximums as much as possible, and pursue drug crimes more rabidly, and he supports the for-profit prison industry. That's just off the top of my head. I don't agree with jack that he's more dangerous than Trump, but the problems with Sessions are much worse than just "he's a little more conservative than..." whoever.

Yeah, I remember this time last year, whenever I posted on the mismanagement, incompetence and infighting in the Trump campaign, folk like you yelled "anonymous sources".

A year on, now that the Administration is engulfed in infighting and mismangement and is serially incompetent, you're still yelling the same thing.

We've had a year in which your hero could have proved his critics wrong and acted like a real leader that knows what he is doing.

But instead, he has proven his critics right, time and again.

Do you mean 'shamed' instead of 'defrauded'?

It seems that all the media pundits think Sessions is being forced out. I hope they're wrong.

If you are alluding to Trump's tweets on the topic, they look more like complaints, to me, rather than some shaming tactic or indication of a fraud.

I'm hoping this is a case of the anti-Trump media trying to whip up a Sessions frenzy. Sessions should NOT resign. Sessions should NOT be fired. However, Sessions should NOT have recused himself. Trump should sit down with his AG and find out what can be done if the SC can be shown to have broken a law, which I believe he has (by not recusing himself from this whole investigation as a result of his relationship to Jim Comey).

    I hope you're right.

I agree 100%. If Trump wants Sessions removed (which I hope is not the case), he needs to fire him. That would be a monumental mistake, as Sessions is a solid AG who, other than his recusal over the Russia matter, is doing very good work.

The problem with where we are today vis-a-vis the mainstream media? We are unable to tell whether these representations are true, or merely the latest media fabrications designed to further their narrative that Trump is unfit for office. I hope it's the latter, but I can't say for sure...

Sessions should be doing something useful like probing Fast and Furious, the destruction of Clinton's servers, Oval Office 2016 wiretapping, and mysterious deaths involving DNC campaign workers. The way to move forward is to clean up previous messes.

I think this is absolutely what is happening. Trump knows that actively firing Sessions will not play well, even amongst his base which has long applauded Sessions' willingness to go after immigration. But Trump also does not want Sessions as the head of the DOJ because Sessions can no longer influence the Russian investigation. So he has decided to engage in a public shaming of Sessions in order to get him to resign.

Hmmm maybe that's why I think it would be a disaster if Sessions either resigns or is fired.

Newsflash. The only reason that Trump wants to go after them is because they are political rivals.
