The Balfour Declaration has nothing to do with San Remo or the Mandate.

    It started the whole party.

and when Balfour was issued, Jordan wasn't part of Palestine.

Again what you said makes no sense.

Balfour was predicated on Jews reqlinquishing Jordan as part of their claim to Palestine. It never stated Jordan was never part of Palestine.

The actual placing of Abdullah and as leader of an Arab country east of the Jordan River that was already part of the land allocated to the "Jewish National Home," was the brainc hild of then Colonial Secretary Winston Churchill after input from T. E. Lawrence.

Winston Churchill proposed his plan for Transjordan to Prime Minister Lloyd George in March 1921.

Ironically tje Palestine High Commissioner Sir Herbert Samuel, who was in fact a Jew, supported and even extended Winston Churchill's formulations. It is now public domain that Samuel sent a telegram to Churchill in July 1921 telling him the creation of Transhordan would violate the British mandate to create a Jewish state. To get around that he said the British needed to first convince the Jews to insert a new article into the mandate that the Jews would not ask for a country East of the Jordan River pending further negotiations and in return Britain would create a Jewish state on the West side of the Jordan river and in return continue to discuss East of the Jordan which temporarily would be an emirate called TransJordan. This ploy which is now exposed as public domain shows tjay the British were lyinfg to the Jews and had the true intention of preventing a Jewish state West of the Jordan River once they seized the majority of the land and turned it into a Jewish free Palestinian state which could placate their WW1 allies.

Not only did they placate Abdullah, but Feisal got his wishes and became King of Iraq

By the way the creation of TransJordan was not even to start a sovereign nation. It was originally created and defined as a "temporary" emirate on the land of eastern Palestine.

Tghe Palestine High Commissioner Harold MacMichael's letter is now public record stating that once the British allowed this temporary Emirate it would be impossible to take it apart again,

It is a fact that 75% of the Palestine territory mandated for the Jewish was allocated to Transjordan,in direct contradiction to the mandate under the flimsy premises it was temporary pending further negotiations for a jewish and Arab state.while the Mandate ostensibly remained in force but in violation of its terms.

The League of Nations Mandate for Palestine remained unchanged even though Britain had unilaterally created TransJordan. The League never said Jews had to give up East of the Jordan river, ever. In fact they called a meeting to abolish TransJordan when WW 2 broke out.

The Mandate included Transjordan until 1946, when that land was declared unilaterally an independent state by the Jordanians.

Transjordan become what is called de jure Arab state in Palestine because the Jews were abandoned and could disagree all they wanted but had no one in the world at that point to concerned with them,

Jordan comprises nearly 38,000 square miles; Israel, less than 8,000 square miles.

Jordan illegally invaded and annexed the West Bank during the war to rid the Middle East of all Jews in 1948-1949 and people like you try revise history now to pretend the West Bank was never part of a Jewish mandate and Jordan just poof appeared from nowhere.

Do you even know what you are asking in the above?

I have no clue. You might be asking me were the Jews really treated as dhimmi and khafir in Sharia law nations. were they really treated as second class inferiors in an apartheid state? If that is your question than yes, for centuries. Also killed and tortured.

In fact it continues today. Its just swell being a Jew in the Arab world. They are treated so well.

As you may know Israel's so-called iron dome was built on American taxpayer's money. "Attack on Israel is attack on USA...' our presidents said.

8 Arab Nations and at least five Islamic ones by title and, a whole lot more. Why are you not going after Iran for being an Islamic Republic? Or Egypt for being for Arabs?

    Hmmmmm?

No Islamic States have huge non-muslim populations comparable to Israel's huge non-jewish population. Extremists should take care not to allow their fanaticism to over-ride their democratic..er.....principles.

What, the Bolsheviks were all about the Zionist movement? I don't think so. Saying something ridiculous like Lenin was practically the sole non-Jew is Jew-hatred, not anti-Zionism.

Not so; the Israeli army was equipped not only with the British Centurion tank, but also with US-built M50/51 Super Sherman tank upgraded with a French 105mm gun and better engine. They entered service in Israel in 1960.

A 100% muslim population makes it impossible to dictate that the country should not declare itself an Islamic Republic. That's what 100% of its citizens want.
In Israel's case , at least 25% of the population do NOT want a ' jewish ' State- so numbers are important, contrary to any attempt at spin.

I never said or suggested that.

Once again you fail to grasp the point.

Its not a matter of what France or Britain wanted, it was what the League of Nations mandated Britain to do. Britain took over the mandate under the express promise of creating two states, one Jewish, one Arab.

It never had any intention of creating a Jewish state as was indicated in the memoirs of both Hogh Commissioner Samuel and Winston Churchill. It was a ploy to get control of the Middle East for oil.

TransJordan was created illegally and unilaterally by Britain to placate Abdullah and Iraq was carved out as a puppet state for Faisal. T

The rest of the Faisal family was given Saudi Arabia and Britain created puppet monarchies or governments in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, today what are the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Yemen, Sudan.
    .
Jordan was in fact the very Palestinian state the Palestinians asked for. The demand for a second state called Palestine only arose in 1967 once Araft who could not wrestle control away from then King Hussein coined the phrase.

The proposal for a Palestinian state today on the West Bank is in fact a request for a second one.

No they did not enter service in Israel in 1960. Provide your source for that. These tanks were modified and did not show up in Israel until the late 1960's and in particular as Gilos said in 67. Go on provide the source.

If there is no two-state solution, Israel will become an Apartheid State...or will no longer be a Jewish state.

so Israel has a big choice to make.

Israel isn't a ' jewish ' State today- although Netanyahu wants it to be. 25% of Israelis aren't even jewish .

a 75% Jewish majority makes it a Jewish state.

plus the fact that Israel focuses on Jewish culture and traditions.

No you name called and when you do that you make it clear you are not debating and engage in behaviour you have in the past criticized others for engaging in with you. Name calling is an exercise designed to make noise when the responder can't counter with other facts.

I expect that kind of response from you though and its why I often avoid responding to your comments. You show a lack of respect for other peoples' opinions while expecting them to accept yours.

On this forum no one's opinion is better or worse and when your revert to name calling you lower the standard of discussion.

When you do engage in the name calling, it speaks to the level of expectation you place on yourself.

You came on this thread and contested that Transjordan was carved out of Palestine. Your response to that was to name call.

You can' repudiate the fact that TranJordan was carved out of Palestine so you name called.

The Jordanian government to this day refers to itself as a Palestinian state on its coat of arms, with its stamps.

Why because you say so? Lol.

Is that how the world works?

What next-the Vatican is not a Catholic state, Britain is not an Anglican state? Saudi Arabia is not a Muslim state?

Or is your selectivity strictly limited to Jews and Israel not existing in a state?

The fact you deny something does not mean it does not exist.

Say now this has become a fun thread. We have you denying Israel is a Jewish state and Ronstar denying Transjordan was created out of Palestine.

    I love it.

What next-say I know, Iran is not a Shiite Muslim state.
