Shocking unprovoked attack recounted in attached link.

The psychopaths who did this even followed their victims to the hospital and had to be removed by security:

    https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2017/12/seven-men-brutally-beat-gay-man-outside-mcdonalds/

    What motivates this senseless violence?

Whether verbal or physical, LGBTQ people often feel they must be on constant guard against assault, but why are they so often targeted?

One theory - not without controversy - holds that allegedly straight men who express hatred towards those of such differing lifestyles are themselves LGBTQ, and attempting to attack their own desires and feelings by these unprovoked assaults.

Does this theory hold water, or are violent homophobes merely cowards who, as in this instance, seek to outnumber and attack others?

I think people are just depraved and think they can attack those they feel to be lesser. No different than the knock out game of a few years ago.

When young males do stuff like this, it's simply their own general dysfunction manifesting. They don't specifically target gay people (though I've no doubt LG types like to imagine that they do .. makes one seem more special, ya know), they target anyone they consider a soft target. It's what bullies do ... they bully.

It isn't even remotely sane to believe that bullies are only bullies because of, and to, a very specific type of individual.

Argentina...not the most enlightened of places.
Nothing justifies a beating like this.

It is the thugs that need to hide from society. Their "weirdo" ness is more severe, more dangerous and more unwelcome in our society. As it should be. Alt right knuckle draggers are far more "effed up" and "polarizing" than everyday gay people are.

    Good for them.

They should join the NRA if they have not already.

    The more the better.

So, more of the gang type attacks. Done by cowards who will not take a man on, one on one. Scumbags. Too bad that so much of our younger population mimic gang behavior, with these unfair and cowardly attacks on people. I think we need a new law. If more than one person attacks anyone, all should be sent to prison for a mandatory 20 years. We could call it the anti scumbag coward's law. A law specifically addressed to scumbags who want to act like they are in a criminal gang.

I remember when this type of beating was unheard of, unless you saw it in a poor black area where gangs lived, For our culture deeply frowned upon such cowardly behavior. So, like the drooping pants showing underwear, which came from blacks being in jail, as they took away their belts, this ganging up on one man also comes from blacks, gangs. While the Hell's Angels and other criminal motor cycle gangs would do this too, it took blacks infecting and influences popular culture for this ganging up on one man to be not only acceptable, but normal!! Even younger white people do this cowardly act today. Thanks to the black culture and gangs. Keep up the great contributions!!

There was some hope that with integration of our schools, that the white culture would pull up black kids, create higher values and yet the contrary happened. Black kids pulled the white kids downward, and I watched it happen when my two girls were in school. It was like boiling a frog, but just look the effect it has had on popular culture.

Too bad the gay feller did not live in a state where he could carry a gun. For he would have been just in pulling it out and emptying his magazine into this crowd of scumbag cowards.

I'm pretty sure they work with the NRA from time to time, though I think they are more focused on CCW issues.

I like the fact that they disrupt partisan stereotypes. I like the tagline, but I'm in the amusingly self-conscious "caliber doesn't matter" crowd. Placement > caliber, at least to a certain extent. My wife carries a .380, but she's a much better shot than I am, so I don't give her much grief about it.

Caliber is not the end all, and yes accuracy ultimately is more important but I believe caliber makes a difference.

Whenever possible my EDC is .45APC but in truth it is difficult to carry such a large one concealed especially in the summer so I am also fine with a .38special or .380 when I just cannot get away with carrying my 1911 concealed.

I'll break kayfabe for a minute to explain that the more serious you appear to be over something completely absurd, the funnier it is. This is how irony poisoned comedy works.

I sincerely believe that queer people ought to arm ourselves, but I said it in a silly way because why would someone take that seriously? Then I figured it'd be funny to double down

Oh, it definitely does make a difference. No argument here. I'm all for shooting the biggest caliber you can reliably shoot. I just mean that people should carry what they feel comfortable carrying instead of stressing about a bigger caliber.

Well look at the country where it happened and you get the answer. Going as far as to persecute the victim even in the hospital, i can think only of south america or russia... well at least they didn't kill that guy.
