Well blame the continued erosion of values and the disintegration of the family unit. With the sexual revolution came a whole generation of people that took sexual encounters for granted. Those people have had kids and they did not instill the same social constructs into their children as they were taught. Now dont get me wrong there were a TON of wacky ideas that we are well rid of. But I think as a culture we should rethink how we approach mating and finding of partners.
I think we need to develop sex robots NOW. I think that in the future we will find the idea of exploiting another human being for sexual gratification will be as repugnant as slavery, which it essentially is.
You will still be able to have as many shared experiences as you want. They might even be better for the mitigation of the sexual blackmail aspects. You just won't be able to demand half of everything someone else has just so he can get laid every so often (with heavy emphasis on everything but often) You really should never forget that throughout the vast, VAST majority of human history marriage was primarily, indeed usually entirely, a property relationship. Romantic love was invented in the 12th century by the troubadours and before then was regarded as what we still somewhat view it as today, a type of mental illness
It was an indication that your attitude toward women, sex, freedom, and humanity are no longer acceptable in this century.
In essence YES I am. Women are far more than just a sexual aid, though they are exceptionally skilled and amazingly fitted to the task. Thing is, your attitude and mindset almost guarantee they will avoid using this attribute unless you buy it.
I don't understand, no one is saying you can't have any relationship with a real woman you want. Are you arguing that men shouldn't be allowed to masturbate?
Nope, I am stating that this: "You really should never forget that throughout the vast, VAST majority of human history marriage was primarily, indeed usually entirely, a property relationship. Romantic love was invented in the 12th century by the troubadours and before then was regarded as what we still somewhat view it as today, a type of mental illness " And its implied attitude are abnormal in todays reality.
OIC, yes I agree. I am far from romantic in my view of history and I definitely do not pine for the Middle Ages in any way. I think romantic love should be the ONLY determinant of who someone marries and is itself one of the major aspects/experiences in our lives as it should be. I see romantic love as an essential part of modernity, one of the distinct things that separates us from the Ancients and makes us a so much better world.
