Traditionally, up to the 21st century, sexual relationships were games or an economic arrangement that resulted in a family. In the 21st century, there are no families and parenting is considered a side job. Males usually live separately from their children, and the mothers consider males for cash flow more than anything. So, is there a model for sexual relationships in the 21st century? Without a family environment, the game aspects of it are unchanged, but does it serve a purpose? And why do 21st century males contribute to child birth rate when they live separate lives from them?
The culture is changing. The saying, "There is no right or wrong, just different cultures has a grain of truth to it". Each generation changes, and each generation sees the previous as backwards or wrong. It's a great cycle. That being said, it used to be back in the day it was great being a male. You worked and provided for your family. Your wife stayed at home, and cared for the kids. She might work part time for a bit of money, but very rarely full time. Her duty was the kids. The man made enough income to provide for the entire family. Being a single man was great, because wages were inflated and the pay gap sex wise was much larger than today. Now we have daycare. Daycare allows us to work and not bother with the kids. It's rare to be a stay at home mom now. Single parenthood is glorified in the media, "look at the poor tough mom trying her hardest to break even". Then, people see this, admire it, and do it. Creates more of it. It's daycare that's changed this. The reason daycare is around now is greater gender equality, women can work now and put the kids in daycare. Now women have careers. People are more focused on careers and work and less so on family, it's been a big change in the most 30-50 years. The reason is capitalism, and greater sex equality primarily. In countries, especially Euro ones, were there is big emphasis on buissness and careers, there's a poverty in personal life, and consquently they have the lowest fertility rates in the world. Sex used to be back in the day a big deal. You only had sex if you loved the person and wanted kids. Sure people had sex for fun, but it was rarer and very frowned upon. Now we have orgies, porn is legalized, there's adult dating websites, you can get laid somewhat easily now. Sex before marriage is more acceptable. This is part of the demphais on family and laxer sexual norms. Sex is fun. It is, but it's not to played around to much, and is in America, with a lot of unwanted pregnancies or people who can't provide for their kids.
I agree that this is the case, but why do males want to contribute to birth rates then? It is not in a male's interest to create something he rarely sees and doesn't profit from in any way. How do middle aged and older people live in the west? They used to live in families, now they don't, this is a big mystery, do you know the answer?
I read a book called America 2050. The author talks about how America will change in the future. The urban centers will be so clogged with traffic, that they'll decay, while the suburbs will be rich and prosperous. They'll boom. The rural parts of the country will do well, as the rich will move out of the suburban areas to the rural to get away for high pace of life. The family is fragmenting as the center of life in America he says. Knits of friends will take over from the family, especially in Europe. Single parenthood is increasing, the two parent system in decline. About 60-75% of middle aged people are married according to statistics, the other mostly divorced. Most married people have children. Divorce rates are increasing in the US, and have since the 70's. The culture of hate and maliciousness is the primary reason in America, there are more divorces than marriages for the first time in our history. About half of all marriages end in divorce. People are living more and more with friends. Males want to have sex, as it feels great. Males don't have as much to worry about or invest as women, who must care for it and nurture it. A man can have a kid and forget about it. Although with child-support this is more of a hassle. This being said, the America population is expected to BOOM, to reach 700 million by 2050, the only first world country to really do this at this levle. It's thanks to immigration. Europes' population is supposed to decline.
I just wish women wouldn't try to convince us they are serious about serious relationships, when they aren't; it isn't like we won't put out even if they don't try to convince us.

Okay, let's put this whole "sexuality" thing in perspective. There is not one single sexual relationship around today that has not existed since humans first stood upright! There have been female men in every known civilization in every continent. There have been same-sex relationships during the same time. A number of very famous individuals who supposed to be happily married, had other sex partners and even partners of the same sex. Pedophilia is a modern taboo - once a human reaches the age of being able to reproduce, it was always considered appropriate to engage in sex. As to pre-prepubescent sex, that is also not new. Women are the gatekeepers of sex and therefore as women gain more and more superiority over men there is going to be less and less sex because women simply are not turned on by men they don't consider alpha males.

I try to avoid generalisations, as they will invariably be wrong to some degree about a great many individuals. Men, women.. people are people regardless. Get to know them.

lol..sorry, but I think men are the biggest at fault in this one. (*alot of) Men will tell you what you want to hear in order to get sex. I think more woman would like a relationship and men use that to their advantage.
