when you impeach a president in a disgusting partisan manner where you cannot even get 1 of 196 republicans on board and and actually get 3 democrats to vote against it, this is what you get. In fact, the senate should’ve struck this down with force, overwhelmingly.

No president should be removed from office in a partisan vote, if the house cannot get bipartisan support, don’t send it to senate. This is basically what pelosi, schumer, nadler, Biden and others believe in during clinton impeachment but now, think differently?

Few surprises in this "trial." Perhaps one surprise was the publication of a few Bolton manuscript pages. Another was 75% of the public demanding witnesses and documents. This means the debate will vacillate between angst and rage for another nine months. When Bolton's book is finally published it will zoom to the best sellers list and stay there for months.

Republicans will be left with the remains of a train wreck which will eventually dawn on them too late. Nobody but Trump supporters will see the Senate trial as legitimate or a plus.
