Was out fixing fence today. Thought I’d share a few pictures. Hey @FatBack, will these make me dream of my spirit animal? There were a lot of them.
Beautiful countryside. Those dont appear to be the much sought after pscilocybes. However, I'm most familiar with Fl species, but...."if they stain blue, they are true"...... Caveat.....AFAIK this only applies to mushrooms growing from ruminant dung. The bluing reaction happens anywhere the flesh is bruised or cut, happens rapidly.
Good eye! We just call them wild grapes. They only set on once every few years but I did see blossoms yesterday so maybe there will be some. The grapes are tiny and not sweet but make great jelly.
Hi mate, it takes a while...I mean this one has been on the table for just over 2 months now - the real issue with this one was getting the heat/scorching effect on the tail pipes and engine covers at the back..I mean there's a shed load of oil paints and lacquer paints in there which you have to build up with clear varnish so its layered into an almost a holographic effect...it changes colour when you look at it from different angles. this is what the real thing looks like and each aircraft has a different heat effect pattern so its just a case of trial and error - first time I've done this effect so it was a real learning curve! I mean it came out...okayish I guess...was happy for a first attempt....anyway now I've got the basic idea I think I'll do another one. Going to start on an F-15E now...one from just down the road from you at RAF Lakenheath...you're not far from there are you? Hey...did you get the job?
one of our wildflowers the wild hibiscus. I gathered seeds and planted them out front. I bought the bulbs and planted these. They look like the Cahaba Lilly.
Yeah, Lakenheath is close. We get Apaches over the farm pretty regularly. I've seen Ospreys around here too. Yeah got the job. Started last Monday. Starting from scratch. Kitchen was an empty room apart from two cookers and a sink. No menu, no suppliers, no staff and about 3 weeks to go to the school holidays and peak season. I'm loving it but I've not spent much time cooking yet. Still short of a few vital bits of equipment but hopefully we'll be up and running properly in time for the weekend. I'm loving it. As much as I enjoyed spending the last 18 months doing nothing it's nice to be working again.
That's brilliant! Must be fun starting from scratch and being your own boss doing what you love....better than listening to bizjet owners whining about the cost of everything...I tell you I'm this close to telling someone to go piss up a rope and take their phucking jet with them.... I'm jealous.....I can cook a good lasagne...and bloody good breadcrumb coated chicken.....need a sous-chef....?
I see your bizjet owners and raise you 1400 shareholders and a management committee of 11. Thankfully I'm no part of that though. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=894241147802629
