    Meth users need to increase their amounts because it burns out their dopamine receptors over time.

    She was seriously addicted and would have had a SEVERE WITHDRAWAL had she stopped. She wasn't provided with any other options considering that the insane war on drugs considered her to be a criminal instead of someone with a mental illness.

    Without any treatment options what happened was inevitable and it all because the Republican war on drugs has been a complete and utter FAILURE.

    To be frank that fetus was just another innocent victim of the Republican war on drugs and that is where the blame belongs.

    Then it is ultimately the fault of the mother for seeking the substance of methamphetamine to feed her addiction in the first place.

    Then why do addicts not simply choose to attempt withdrawal and seek getting clean before they are forced to turn to illegal methods to try and feed their addiction?

    Pedophiles are addicted to children for sexual pleasure and satisfaction. Yet they are not given a pass when they seek to feed that addiction. Rather than being regarded as the victim, they are treated as the victimizer and punished when they attempt to feed their addition.

    What is the ultimate, meaningful difference between the two standards? When is it appropriate to blame and punish the supposed victim, when they both blame their supposed "illness" as they underlying reason for why they commit various illegal actions?

    Please point out to me where she said those words. All you are doing is putting words in people's mouths. Re-read what she said again and you'll see that she wasn't advocating the use of drugs when pregnant.

    Meaning it is not possible for yourself to explain why some addicts should be punished for attempting to feed their addictions, but not others.

    Addicts have a choice. They choose to take whatever it is they take. I know this from experience, the only way an addict gets clean is by choosing to not take drugs/drink and to use their own willpower.

    No addict should be given a pass for anything.

    Did she take that meth or was she injected with it? Did she know the level of purity of the drug? Sadly she is NOT the first drug addict to be deliberately given an extra strong dose by their dealer if the dealer is made aware that the Addict is trying to kick the habit or, because they are buying less thinks the addict is using another dealer

    Ideal world? Every woman would behave perfectly and have a perfect Gerber baby but tha5 is not how life works

    This cas already has had a lot of attention and how many addicts are now avoiding antenatal care and further endangering the foetus because they fear they too will end in prison?

    How about you go to any addiction centre and tell them these wonderful words of wisdom. I am sure every addict there will just quit on the spot because they did not realise how easy it is

    I have been in addiction centres and seen the cancerous notion they spread about people have no control. Pure bullshit. That crap is what keeps people in the mindset of failure.

    Tell me, how do addicts stop then?

    Part of it are feelings of panic and that in and of itself is very difficult to handle and leads to risk adverse behaviour I.e. taking the drug again

    And there is no treatment options available

    Then why are you not opening a centre in opposition

    If you are so right about this surely the door is open for you to cure hundred if not thousands of people
