Does it matter to you that when Israel was created in 1948, it was created from lands Palestinians had owned & lived on since Roman times? Yes, Palestinians resisted. The Israeli policy of moving into a Palestinian area & commandeering homes & land with no compensation does nothing to promote peace or understanding from those whose homes & land are being confiscated. I agree, it was the Palestinians who resisted peace agreements with Israelis between 1948 & the early 1980s, but since then, Israel has been gradually becoming more & more extreme in their treatment of the Palestinians living around them, both in terms of human rights & economic rights. So, the ultimate answer is not close or easy, & both sides are at fault. Trump's complete support of Netanyahu & his far right extremist policies are of no help, but rather, increase the hostilities on both sides, driving them ever farther apart.

Palestinians deliberately targeted children on school buses, teenagers in a pizza restaurant, women waiting at bus stops and would have murdered more had a wall not been built.
