Does that look silly to you? To Democrats, nothing looks sillier. Change her race to black though, and they will leap all over this, branding this a racist attack. I am serious. This is how the term racist gets used by Democrats. I don't know more than what is in the article, but some Australian woman left behind her son and her fiancee. She was going to marry her fiancee. Should cops have arms? Should cops have turned on their body cameras? They were called to handle a crime report. So will this get fair discussion due to her being white?

Now...I try to stay positive about the police. After all there are over three quarters of a million of them in the USA and the number of incidents is nowhere near that number.

But the fact that this stuff keeps happening over and over again, seemingly without anyone doing a *******ned thing about it...

...Well it's getting harder and harder to stay positive about them.

In this case...with the woman talking to the driver in her PJs...what possible justification did the passenger have to shoot past the driver and into the woman who they were sent to talk to in the first place?

I have also pondered that. I wondered how two cops in the same car got into this mess. When one cop talks and the other shoots, one ponders why. Too bad that she got killed. I can't stress enough she did not deserve her fate and though money can't solve the problem, it seems appropriate to try to help her family this way at the least.

12 million arrests/incidents per year. How many of those 12 million are you claiming involves police killing someone they shouldn't by mistake or on purpose? Let's do a little math

    We derailed almost instantly.

Look forum members, this is the real deal.

When a black gets shot or killed this way, we always read that it was due to skin color.

I show that whites, even women get killed by the cops yet we don't find a word the woman got killed for being white.

If it is not politically to award blacks, then we chat about how often cops shoot to kill. We would be smarter to do this when the woman is white or black. Not just when she is white.

What's your point? That I'm not looking at the whole picture and have somehow understated the number of incidents...or that I'm overreacting and making a mountain out of a molehill?

Either way you look at it...Hardly a day goes by without hearing about a police incident that should not have happened in a world where we're supposed to be willing to trust those who "Serve and Protect". People being shot, people being needlessly brutalized, people's dogs being shot when the police respond to the wrong address, people's dogs being shot when the police respond to the wrong address in front of the children who look at that dog as a beloved pet, the fact that police respond to wrong addresses and don't do anything to address the damages caused when they break in...the list goes on and the simple fact that from the public's perspective...nothing is being done about it.

It keeps happening and people are starting to think twice about calling the police out of fear.

This is a strange story. I wonder if the cop saw something behind the woman and reacted to it? Cops are probably scared for their lives everyday and liable to over react.
