If you have the national flag in your yard should the state, government, or neighbourhood force you to display it a certain way and (for example) not touch the ground?
Should any government have the right to enforce its precepts, doctrines and dogma with the force of law, such as making you stand and put your hand on your heart for the national flag?

    Thats not an exception.

Most women ( 85-90% ) DO NOT EVEN KNOW they are pregnant within the first 6 weeks.

That may not even be possible for the most responsible people.

Birth control can and does fail. This is a fact.

Again, why not address the actual question being presented? The hope and pray thing doesn't seem to be something liberals tolerate. And yet, here..... Women should know it is a possibility, no? So, depending on their engagement in sex, wouldn't you at least know that every time you have non prophylactic sex that you can get pregnant? What exactly are you suggesting about these women? Do you think them ignorant or something?

If you wish to enjoy sexual pleasure, you have various orifices and techniques to do so without becoming pregnant. Bill Clinton should be a role model in how to do that without involving a pregnancy!!

If you wish to claim, "My body my choice", then please be mature enough to make your choice before conception.

On the rare occasion of failed contraception or rape etc.. then tough, Jesse Jackson is a good example of being born from rape and going on to do great things.

This issue only arises because of the inference of having the medical technique to abort babies. My brother and his wife tried some 13 IVF procedures to conceive with no luck, yet we have irresponsible immature people aborting babies.

Nonetheless, conservatives find it about the hardest one of all. And they're always prattling on about Freedom. Which most of them seem to think means the freedom to persecute others.

I posted this in other thread today.

They don't want to wear masks, socially distance, minimize gathers or get vaccinated but want to tell other people what they can do with their own body. I wonder how many people would appreciate someone telling them what they need to do with their time and money for at least 18 years.

Even more bizarre, I'm positive that non-Republicans aren't the ONLY people having abortions.

Further, people aren't racing to adopt or foster unwanted children and generally turn a blind eye on abused, neglected and exploited children so they only seem to care about life while in the womb. Nice cherry picking.

As far as I know, it's already the law in every state in the union that a woman who gets pregnant can be forced to give birth against her will.

Frankly, I don't think the laws should differ according to reason. If one believes a woman has the RIGHT to determine what happens to her body, it doesn't matter how she became pregnant. I'm continually stunned by those who argue about individual rights but then oppose women to have the same.

Yet the argument made to justify killing unborn babies for any reason is always RAPE. "BUT WHAT ABOUT WOMEN WHO AEE RAPED!!!" Always top of the list.

Using what other people use as their arguments doesn't negate my opinion. The reason doesn't matter if you believe a woman has the right to decisions regarding her own body. I just wish the pro life folks - or the anti abortion folks would just admit that fact....that they don't believe women have rights when it comes to their bodies.

No. It'd probably make more sense to force all unmarried pregnancies to get abortions. Either that or end welfare for single Mothers who give birth out of wedlock.

First trimester seems fair to me. But if TX wants to say six, I'm fine with that it. State's rights. If a woman is raped or a victim of incest, and does not want to give birth, she can have the abortion early. No excuse for not having a pregnancy test early.

You are making me feel sorry for you. That amount of hate for the human race has gotta be a burden.

    Why? (See above.)

Actually, I'm pretty sure they are. Which send me down an entirely different thought path, but I'll spare you.

If a woman has a bad form of cancer she will die. She could have it removed but Texas Law won't allow it.

Is she being forced to die? The outcome of her dying is natural.

Only significantly after such a time that the fetus could have been aborted legally.

Always playing stupid little word games aren't you.

It isn't a difficult concept, you're right. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who claim that women are not capable of understanding this concept, and so must be helped with such things. They will deny women have full and complete bodily autonomy in sex, and insist on interfering for that reason. They will say, OUT LOUD, that women can't even grasp the simple cause/effect of conception. They want men and Govts to intervene in the cause/effect process, because they don't trust women with it.

Sure, but the less able you are to cope with a pregnancy, the less likely you will be to take risks in this regard. It's irrelevant, IOW. Women chose the activity according to the level of risk they're comfortable with. That's all you need to know.

So women should only have sex if they want to get pregnant?

Word games? Didn't you read the subject line?

So if I understand you correctly, there is a period of time in which a woman can be forced to give birth against her will, correct?

But then it is even more of a burden and still not grown. Is all speech then an abortion if it is not with the tongues of Angels?

Do you believe our entire policy towards abortion should be base on those due to rape? Do you believe rape alone justifies all the other abortions that occur? That barely noticeable blip in the number of abortions that occur and that could be prevented with a morning after pill that is widely available?

Here's what I believe about a right to our bodies, I believe that starts at conception, we are created with that right to our lives and our bodies. How about you?

It is not absolute so she is not forced. She has a choice.

Likewise, I have a choice to not jump off a bridge until I jump. Then the choice is gone.

Like I said, 6th grade word games. I know you think you're clever but it is just sad.
