The right is unhappy that our Capitalist model forces business to look for the best way to make money, even if it may not be in the best interest of some people. For example: We buy from China because some of their "stuff" is cheaper, either because of lower wages or subsidies. We farm out labor intensive work to places like Mexico to make our products more competitive in the world market. We could become isolated, like China, and only buy and manufacture locally except what we can't make ourselves. The government could then tell manufactures what to build and how much to pay labor for the work. We of course would lose the 45% that we sell offshore but gain from the local market. I'm not sure where the added labor would come from, but I'm guessing immigration. This is just food for thought. Any other ideas?
Our capitalist manufacturers send manufacturing offshore to increase profits and drive up their stock market shares values. Greed conquers all.
I don't think any business model looks for ways to lose money. Do you know of any? And we don't care about that what we care about is equal trade so we can flood their markets as they do ours but the left insists we always be at a disadvantage.
Sure. It's called capturing a market. You spent 200K on school and they didn't teach you that? We aren't gonna pay off your student loan, cause you got gypped.
China has a massive comparative advantage, probably the largest in history. A lack of labour laws. It's the only reason anyone does anything there.
It's also illegal and damn rare when the government isn't in control. It's also a bad idea. It's also why China has to steal innovation from every where else.
