Should American children be imprisoned with their parents?

There is a great outcry from the Democratic Party and MSM of the global super rich that illegal immigrants should have their children imprisoned with them.

It would seem that certainly American children then also should be imprisoned with their parents if the parent(s) locked up. If a parent is imprisoned that parent's children would be locked in the prison cell with the parent.

So this is the poll question. If an American parent is imprisoned, should that parent's child(ren) be imprisoned with the parent(s) like is now demanded of children of illegal migrants? Apparently the Democratic Party and most Democrats on the forum say yes, imprison the children with their parent(s).

 

I chose IDK/Other because children should not be held accountable for their parents' behavior, unless the child follows in their footsteps.

 

So...what do you say we ought to do with those children? Send them back to their country of origin? That would be my vote. Or are you thinking the U.S. should support them for the remainder of their childhood?

I think everyone who votes Dem should be required to foster (and support without federal assistance) one of these children until their parents are released, regardless of how long it takes. They should put their money where their mouth is.

Immediate deportation. Any subsequent illegal entry is a felony. Parents go to prison and kids deported to country of origin.

 

An easy solution is instead of going through all this expensive and time consuming crap just put them on a boat go all the way down to the very bottom of Mexico or their country of origin and vuala! It will take them weeks to get back up to the border again and they will end up running out of money and desire after a couple of times.

Give any of them that are non criminals guns and ammo so that they can go back and collectively overthrow their shitty governments.

 

Maybe we should invade Mexico defeat them and the drug gangs then fix their economy and there would be no reason for them to enter America illegally.

 

This 'new' Trump policy was always the law. Obama chose to turn them loose pending their hearing and a few of them actually even showed up at said hearing. the rest of them rushed into the hinterlands yelling "Dilly Dilly" and were never seen again by any immigration officials.

 

Apparently not. Haven't heard that one yet. Americans who are imprisoned have the other parent, grandparents, friends stay with their children while they are incarcerated. This heinous act by Trump is the most inhumane and unconscionable move he has made. As a parent, I am shocked that any American would support this. This guy has no moral fiber and certainly no compassion.
Now the dictator in chief is threatening to place tariffs on an additional 200 billion dollars of Chinese goods which will have
a devastating effect on his base and American exports. But this is Trump, who cares about nobody except himself and his desire to win.

The leftwing MSM of the global super rich outright lie about children of illegal migrants being separated from parents. THESE are the ONLY reasons for separation:

1. It is uncertain if the person really is one of the parents
2. There is reason to believe the child would be endanger if kept with the parent
3. There is another reason to believe the children would be endanger if kept with the parent.

Otherwise, they are not separated. NOR are they kept in cages. The government spends approximately $35,000 per year per child.

Huh? How is forcing someone else's child on another person, helpful in anyway? You could be using as inference AFDC or CPS which you could have a case for griping, but still in all, forcing someone else's child or children on another is W-R-O-N-G! I have always held that if a person cannot afford children, both financially and mentally, then they should not have any, but who am I? It is a federal felony to bring into the US someone who you know, or should know, cannot legally enter the US.
That is, the illegal alien parents who bring their illegal alien children into the US commit the "real crime" of child smuggling.

 

Invade Mexico defeat them and the drug cartels, improve their economy and government then their citizens would have no reason to enter America illegally.

 

Our border patrol, ICE and Trump are all doing a great job on our borders. The kids will be fine and returned to their Parents after processing.
