    "It's the economy, stupid."

Nobody is going to care about the screechings of you baby-killing cultists come November, and they're having have to choose between food and gas because Team Joe has screwed the economy up royally.

No - I think that our 2 party system is garbage and things will continue to worsen as both parties do everything they can to widen the divide

    Huh?
    Wow...
If that is all that you have to "contribute", then maybe next time you shouldn't even post...
    Nothing personal, of course.
    Just a friendly suggestion.

It's not relevant at this point. They both have clearly misrepresented themselves and their positions which isn't terribly surprising considering who nominated them but this is beyond outlandish. However, if we are a country of laws, then the law should equally apply to them and the USA is mostly an "at-will" employer which roughly translates to the employer and/or the employee can choose to terminate the employment agreement at any time either one deems it necessary.

I can see how the Orange Stain played the hand because he's allergic to integrity, morals, ethics or anything this side of the law and Constitution and this is just the meal ticket he needs (along with his dangling carrot about pardoning the criminals involved in the Capitol riot that beat the hell out of hundreds of police officers after ignoring them for a year and a half). At least they got that. The Capitol officers that have died, the colleagues and loved ones they left behind and all the injured ones have yet to have him even utter their names.

We can't teach kids the true history of the birth of this nation but all kids are *required* to learn the whitewashed version where darker skin people weren't stolen and enslaved to build it? We can't teach them that the "settlers" did not discover a damn thing since there were people already on the land they stole? They didn't try to ethnic cleansing to give those same people smallpox in blankets? They didn't separate them all from their children and brainwash them in orphanages about "good Christian values"? Those were the "lucky" ones. The others were sold for human trafficking and exploitation. We can't mention that to little white kids because it makes them emo. What the hell does it do to all the non-white kids to be told they are inferior by birth? That's not "hateful"?

They are throwing around the word "groomers" with no damn clue what it even means because they have to be in other people's business constantly. They don't have a damn thing to say about heterosexual pedophiles (the MAJORITY of them) but heaven forbid a gay person can openly state they love someone of the same gender. The "sanctity" of marriage is so special, they kiss the ground for a guy that can't get married unless he pays his price escorts/whores, has cheated on all of them, barebacked hookers and doesn't pay his debts. That's the "hero" in their world?

They've made Babbitt a martyr (for the same sh!t that they rationalize as justifiable when cops are killing black and brown people) and sided with the criminals with no logical explanation for how their deity is for "Law and Order" but (just not on January 6, 2021?)?. The same one that unleashed terrorists on our skeleton crew soldiers and Afghani allies he lied and said were terrorists when Biden offered them refuge status. The same one that refused cooperation with any investigation and is trying to pull the "race" card? Yet, all black and brown people are lied to and told they have fair representation when they don't?

Don't dare even consider asking them about their stockpile of guns (knowing they damn well don't use them to protect anybody else) but they want to be in women's wombs and people's religion? Seriously? Nobody sane should be standing behind this subterfuge. NOBODY. In fact, nobody should have been standing behind him when he bounced around the idea of issuing an Executive Order to ban Biden from winning the election. How much more clear can it be that he was the one lying, cheating, disenfranchising, conspiring and gaslighting?

This is unconsciousable and anyone that does not consider him a traitor to our country, values, morals, alleged "Christian" stance and decency can get the hell out along with him. He is the antithesis to everything we are supposed to stand for and our fellow countrymen and women are cool with that? F*** that noise.

    Dont count on that.

They have made a huge successful push these past 2 years to stack local government. Governor's, Secretary of States, district attournies.

Dont think for a second that the next election will be conducted in a fair manner. It wont be.

Republicans are dishonest cheaters who only care about power.

Isn't that why there are mobs and assassins assembling outside their homes?
    To like punish them?

Justice Ginsburg agreed with Barrot and Kavanaugh that Roe was bad law.
Do you think she should have been impeached -- or assassinated?

“Casual observers of the Supreme Court who came to the Law School to hear Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg speak about Roe v. Wade likely expected a simple message from the longtime defender of reproductive and women’s rights: Roe was a good decision.

Those more acquainted with Ginsburg and her thoughtful, nuanced approach to difficult legal questions were not surprised, however, to hear her say just the opposite, that Roe was a faulty decision. For Ginsburg, the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision that affirmed a woman’s right to an abortion was too far-reaching and too sweeping, and it gave anti-abortion rights activists a very tangible target to rally against in the four decades since.

Ginsburg and Professor Geoffrey Stone, a longtime scholar of reproductive rights and constitutional law, spoke for 90 minutes before a capacity crowd in the Law School auditorium on May 11 on “Roe v. Wade at 40.”

“My criticism of Roe is that it seemed to have stopped the momentum on the side of change,” Ginsburg said. She would’ve preferred that abortion rights be secured more gradually, in a process that included state legislatures and the courts, she added. Ginsburg also was troubled that the focus on Roe was on a right to privacy, rather than women’s rights.

Roe isn’t really about the woman’s choice, is it?” Ginsburg said. “It’s about the doctor’s freedom to practice…it wasn’t woman-centered, it was physician-centered.””

Quote their actual words. Or at least read them. They never claimed stare decisis was chiseled in stone; in fact they were very careful NOT to say that.

None of those people have the power to enforce their opinions on the masses.

That is NOT true of a Supreme Court justice.

The timing is perfect to make radical right-wing changes.

Team Joe has destroyed the economy so hard, and it's made the Democrats so unpopular, that nobody is going to care about anything but their own economic desperation come November.

    BUT ABORTION!

Don't care. I can't afford to fill my tank to get me to the Planned Parenthood anyway.

    BUT GUN CONTROL!

Don't care. Inflation has made me so poor, I'm going to need a gun to rob a liquor store.

    Yep.

"The Democrats are the party of government activism, the party that says government can make you richer, smarter, taller, and get the chickweed out of your lawn. Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work, and then get elected and proves it." P.J. O'Rourke on Democrats vs. Republicans

Simply not true when you look at what they actually said. You can read it here.

I think the abortion issue is already baked in. It is my opinion that over the last 50 years those avid pro-choice have become Democrats, those avid pro-life have become Republicans. Those who aren’t avid choice when asked if they’re pro-choice will state so, but abortion isn’t an issue in their decision making as to who to vote for or against. Other issues are much more important to them such as inflation, rising prices, empty store shelves. I’ll be following this to see what effect this will have on the midterms. Whether or not abortion is baked into the equation or not. I’ll start with yesterday’s numbers on the generic congressional ballot, President’s Biden overall job approval numbers along with at risk, switchable house seats and senate tossup and lean states.

23 June 2022 Generic congressional ballot, RCP averages 44.3-41.5, Republican, 538 averages 44.8-42.5 Republican

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/2022-generic-congressional-vote-7361.html

    https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/generic-ballot/

The President’s overall job performance numbers.

    23 June 2022 Biden’s overall job performance, 39.6% approve, 55.8% disapprove

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president-biden-job-approval-7320.html

Most important to the midterms is the number of competitive, switchable, at risk house seats and the senate’s pure tossup states beginning 23 June 2022 to see the effect of the overturning of ROE.

23 June – House 40 Democratic seats, 13 Republican seats fell into the at-risk category. A probable gain of 18-20 seats for the Republicans. Senate – 4 pure tossups, 3 democratic held seats, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, 1 Republican held seats, Wisconsin. 2 lean Democratic seats, Democratic held New Hampshire and Republican held Pennsylvania, 1 lean Republican seat, Republican held North Carolina. Probable net gain of 1 seat for the Democrats, Pennsylvania.

What I expect to happen is a shift toward the democrats in all categories, then a couple of months down the road, the numbers will revert to the pre-SCOTUS ruling that overturned ROE. Inflation, rising prices, empty store shelves is much more important to quite a lot of folks who state they’re pro-choice, especially independents who aren’t affiliate with either party or partisan. It usually boils down to pocketbook issues for them. Time will tell.

Was it the settled law of the land at the time?

If you are a Democrat, you have always supported bigger government and more control over our decisions. Enjoy!

Not sure what that has to do with Kavanaugh, Barrett and Gorsuch lying, but I don't think Biden worries too much about his ratings, since he knows Dems are losing in midterms, but his party has 2.5 years to find a candidate to run in 2024.

Yes. It’s not Brett’s fault progressives didn’t understand his arguments prior to confirmation or after.

This may help those simply parroting talking points heard on TV.
