Should Chelsea Clinton run for president? Is it her time? Simple question. Democrats were polling me.

She has shown exactly zero interest in running for public office and she has just given birth to her third child - seems like you were being trolled rather than in a serious discussion.

What is her experience? What about achievements? Any positions that set her apart?

Sure, why not? She's over 35 now ain't she? She's a US citizen ain't she?

She meets all qualifications plus she comes from royalty.

You conflate legal minimal qualifications with actual qualifications. My hope that the total disaster that is Trump, will get folks demanding for some political experience and an actual political record to look at in office, before they put someone in the highest political position on the globe. I refuse to vote for any presidential candidate who was NOT a politician.
Maybe she should run for city councel or state treasurer first and see how she does.

Abraham Lincoln did very well without a high school diploma, and his main experience was losing elections and business losses before winning the presidency.

Oh, and he was good at being a river rat, and the militia soldiers in his outfit liked him a lot.

He would definitely have met my standard.

"Lincoln served four successive terms in the Illinois House of Representatives as a Whig from Sangamon County.[31]:283 He supported the construction of the Illinois and Michigan Canal, later serving as a Canal Commissioner.[32] In the 1835–36 legislative session, he voted to expand suffrage beyond white landowners to all white males.[31]:130 He was known for his "free soil" stance of opposing both slavery and abolitionism. He first articulated this in 1837, saying, "[The] Institution of slavery is founded on both injustice and bad policy, but the promulgation of abolition doctrines tends rather to increase than abate its evils."[7]:134 He followed Henry Clay in supporting the American Colonization Society program of advocating abolition and helping freed slaves to settle in Liberia.[33]:17–19, 67

Admitted to the Illinois bar in 1836,[7]:64 he moved to Springfield, Illinois, and began to practice law under John T. Stuart, Mary Todd's cousin.[12]:71, 79, 108 Lincoln developed a reputation as a formidable adversary during cross-examinations and closing arguments. He partnered with Stephen T. Logan from 1841 until 1844....
Lincoln ran for the Whig nomination for Illinois's 7th district of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1843, but was defeated by John J. Hardin. However, Lincoln won support for the principle of rotation, whereby Hardin would retire after only one term. Lincoln hoped that this arrangement would lead to his nomination in 1846.[12]:123–124 Lincoln was indeed elected to the House of Representatives in 1846, where he served one two-year term. He was the only Whig in the Illinois delegation, showing party loyalty by participating in almost all votes and making speeches that echoed the party line.[35]:79 Lincoln, in collaboration with abolitionist Congressman Joshua R. Giddings, wrote a bill to abolish slavery in the District of Columbia with compensation for the owners, enforcement to capture fugitive slaves, and a popular vote on the matter. He abandoned the bill when it failed to garner sufficient Whig supporters.[36]:54[33]:57

    Committee assignments
I have a voting record and series of actual stances and public positions on which to determine his judgement, his consistency and his political views. That's my minimal.

I thinl to Jim Acosta should run for president so he can get a taste of his own medicine umm i mean poison.

President? As in, "President of the United States"...? Uh, NO....

But, in an America as dumbed-down and dependent on government as we've become, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see her try it when she turns 35....

I couldn't help wondering to myself how folks (democrats) who constantly brag about how creative they are, are still dragging the hapless clinton mystique around with them.... Chelsea... yup, folks, you should run with her... Because she's just the front for your dear leader Hillary... :roflol:

As a republican I voted yes, because it would be hilarious. It would be a series of deer in the headlights moments. I'm all for it.

I like the part of "is it her time" that tells you how brainwashed democrats are, you considered it Hillary's turn, why? because the was first lady, certainly not because she ever accomplished a damn thing as senator or SOS. But somehow the Clinton's seem to be standing in line for their "turn".

So far, we've had two Adamses, two Harrisons, two Roosevelts, & two Bushes. In 2016, we almost had two Clintons. There's been talk of having more Trumps in the White House I don't support making the U.S. a political family oligarchy. Nepotism runs counter to a democracy, & is not attractive.

It's the "she comes from royalty" part that I find disturbing.

ABSOLUTELY NOT and neither should Michelle Obama neither one of them have the least bit of experience they'd be as bad as Dirty Donald.

"is it her time?" .. Could take that to mean the same sort of entitlement mentality her mother regarded the Presidency with. Either way put me down for a hard no.
