Should the USA military be given the right to own intellectual property? Should they be given the ability to provide military level tech and services out to the countries and private companies that they choose ??? Should the military be able, at their sole discretion, to restrict the access to such technology, again, to countries that are unsafe or companies who have a bad background? Should the military be allowed to be the sole security guards and technicians to these techs and services, to keep them out of enemy hands? Should the military be allowed to charge for these tech services to cover the costs of operations and perhaps turn a profit?? I think they should. Just a thought.
I don't think the military should be involved in foreign policy. It is up to the State Dept. to decide what technology transfers are appropriate.
Overall, you're talking about elevating the military to the level of acting as government for profit. Absolutely not! What a ridiculous idea. The military is not elected and so we have no control over military if they are given such powers.
But what about all the technology they have that is wasted floating around in some black budget project files???
