Margaret Sanger wanted poor women to have some control over the size of their families. It was her life's work to educate them about birth control so they would not have to be pregnant for the entirety of their reproductive years.

OTOH, Pro-life Republicans want to deny women access to birth control by destroying Planned Parenthood.

Once again, quoting Sanger out of context. Regulating pregnancy is not the government's business, nothing good can come of it.

 

You are free to teach your children anything you wish. Your children are free to accept or reject your teachings. You can only control the choices your children make for a short while, then they will make their own choices. You are free to make your own choices about abortion regarding your own body, but no one else's. That's about as free as possible.

The government has not paid for abortions, and has no plans to do so, other than a very few extreme exeptions.

Im not sure that "The Bible" should have anything to do with the abortion debate.

Our side isn't advocating sex at all, or advocating abortion. We just realistically know it's going to happen. Even special and unique individuals with sacred souls have sex and also sometimes abortions.

 

I agree that humans are special and unique and that they have rights as per the constitution. In the early stages of pregnancy "no living human exists" and so "rights of humans" do not apply.

The soul is a religious question that has no part in the debate as per the constitution.

I also advocate liberty of the individual (including the right for consenting adults to have sex as much as they want) as per the constitution.
