Sincere request to help me understand why you feel abortion is not murder.

This is above is ridiculous statement.

1) A woman having an abortion is not imposing anything on any other living human - at least not in the early stages of pregnancy.
2) if you are referring to the zygote - single human cell at conception - as a "someone" this is equally ridiculous as you can not show that a single human cell is a living human ... this is then an assumed premise fallacy.

 

The justices of the Supreme Court in Roe vs Wade faced the same dilemma. After months of exhaustive research and discussion, they ruled based on when a fetus becomes viable & self-sustaining in its own ability to live without artificial aid. It was probably one of the most difficult and profound decisions ever made by that court, and one that has withstood the test of time and opposition for decades. I agree with their findings. I doubt anyone could have done better than they did. If the Pro-Lifers ever make abortion a murder in the law, our own daughters will be facing the ruin or possible forfeiture of their own lives if they become connected to an abortion. That would be a nightmare far far worse than the situation we have today. Pro-Lifers need to become more aware of the ripple effects of the changes they are proposing and how it will affect the lives of those living today who we love.

 

Bravo! One more who knows about the ripple effect!

YES, taking away a group's right to their own bodies is the gateway....what group will be next? NO Anti-Choicer has dared to answer that!


...and do they really want their mothers , sisters, daughters, girlfriends treated like cattle to be tested and examined in public to "prove" they had an abortion?


Do they really want women to not be able to cross state lines in case they might be pregnant? Or be able to leave the country?

 

Selling a baby into prostitution..... or sex slavery is in my opinion far, far, far, far worse than the usual abortion......... because seventy percent or so of women who choose to have an abortion..... feel pressured into doing so due to the economic pressure that our economy and culture places on mothers and on women. ..... but........ not quite so much so on the fathers!
