Singapore has a low birth rate

In fact there articles writen that claim the singapores have less sex that people their age in other places

I cant personally verify that but who knows

Anyway it could nulify your idea about it becoming a baby factory

I am not suggesting that we adopt the singspore plan verbatim

But I would not dismiss it out of hand either

In the video, it mentions government encouragement of births through financial means. So, based on the video, I'd say, the Singapore government is encouraging births to finance government programs to satisfy the majority's fear of mortality. As in Venezuela, when the source of revenue you need to finance the socialist programs you promised in return for political power, runs dry, all hell breaks loose. I'm convinced, Singapore is on that path. They can alter it, find other sources of revenue, or go completely capitalist. Whatever the case, on their present path, they will need high birthrates to stay the course.

There is a lot we could learn from the way other countries run their health care or let it be run. That's for sure. Eventually humans will figure this **** out.

Not until they realize healthcare is not a right; it’s the responsibility of the individual, and not his neighbor .

The article is interesting. As it pointed out, the overall heavy handed involvement of the government would not go well, but the transparency in costs, medical savings accounts, etc., are certainly worthy of discussion.

Unfortunately, Democrats have always been opposed to health savings accounts, so that would take a major change in philosophy on their part to consider adopting that good idea.

I think the point is that healthcare is not an issue if the people are healthier. Here in the US, our diet is a main factor and much of what is making us sick is subsidized. Until we focus on prevention, we will continue to grow fat, sick, and broke.

We are a free nation, we don't need to focus on anything.

You want to eat crappy and get sick then more power to you.

    It's about personal responsibility.

Sure, go ahead and warn them, "hey dude, eating five greasy cheeseburgers a day will give you a heart attack", but that's the extent that the government should be involved.

If people are too stupid to understand that then we need to ask ourselves if they are really benefitting our society in the first place. Perhaps individuals like that should be encouraged to eat poorly.

We are not free. You and I are being forced to buy products that are making people sick. One example is corn. Americans are sucking down high fructose corn syrup and you and I are paying for it. In addition to corn subsidies, 10% of food stamps, EBT/SNAP benefits are spend on "sweetened beverages". Once they develop symptoms, you and I are forced to pay for the pharm products to keep them sick. That is a triple subsidy by itself. 1 in 3 Americans is diabetic or pre-diabetic. If Americans weren't so fat and sick, healthcare would not be an issue.

Are you really trying to compare the healthcare in the US to that of second and third world nations... and then trying to say we are a “middle class family with 6 kids”.

We have the most expensive healthcare by sometimes a factor of 1000% in some areas while we receive less effective care with a deceasing life expectancy and you want to deregulate the market further...

    Yeh you’re right, it’s the AMA’s fault

Because EVERYONE knows, an Angel is LITERALLY incenerated by SATAN, every time a PENNY of one taxpayer's money benefits another. Jesus DESPISES government programs that feed needy children. Says right in the Bible! Jesus wants t6hem little children suffering now don't it?

Well, if the system allows slavery (forced labor for corporations due to the fear of losing health insurance and all the money) it is a slavery. Yea, sure you can call it Democracy but if people have no control or any influence on the government then it is not a democracy.

Perhaps, if the government kept its hands off of my wealth, I could feed my child and take her to Atlantis. Perhaps then, I wouldn’t then need to get on my knees to pray to Jesus for salvation.
