"Flatten" under Trump? Your graph reading skills really suck the big one.

So far Trump has grown real GDP $808.467B

In Obama's final 6 quarters he only grew real GDP $387.156B

Since when is more than double "flattening"?

Go back and look at the graph I'm referring to that you provided. It starts to flatten after Q1 2016. That's what I'm talking about.

Yes, I know you want to play cherry picking with 6 quarters here or there instead of actually looking at GDP over time. Which is why you won't check out the last graph I gave you. Anything to avoid the objective fact of the same upward trend since 2009.

And yet hourly earnings just had their greatest jump in nearly a decade.
Trump's been President for 651 days and the Federal Debt rose $40,185,139,295.90 LESS than it did over Obama's final 651 days.

Rising wages, slowing Federal Debt growth rates, what's not to love!

Horseshit. Flatten after 2016 my Democrat!
Cherry Picking? You have no better understanding of that term than you do of "flattening". Trump has only been president for 6 full quarters, I used every quarter!
Was nearly 10 fkn years ago. When you are comparing Trump's first 6 full quarters with Obama's final full six quarters why the hell are we talking about 2009?

And you accuse ME of Cherry Picking? Are you sure you are hanging by your tail and not your brain?

I dont think you understand how sovereign debt works and why countries buy it. China selling our debt that they own does not hurt us in in fact hurts them as that debt is used as protection for their economies. Here is a good article on it:

Again, look at the final quarters of your graph. They flatten.

Except the quarters where the trend began.

The trends started in 2009 and have been carrying on at about the same pace since. I'm sorry this fact is inconvenient for your agenda. We are talking about 2009 because that's when the trend started.

I hate Farm Subsidies, but they log roll it with Food Stamps and it keeps going no matter who controls the Presidency or who controls Congress.

Yes, but didn't Trump just pump more money into the farm subsidies to prop up farmers due to this trade war?? You are against food stamps but not corporate welfare?

Wrong graph. Go back to the one where I actually talked about the flattening. Post #193, if that helps.

Average hourly earnings have increased by about 3% on the year.

Inflation is running at about 2%.

The result is that those at the lower end of hourly wage increases are actually losing buying power.

With the libs the sky is always falling. First, we heard the Germans would never accept Trump's terms. We heard Japan and Korea would not talk. Then we heard the Mexicans would not deal with him. Then we heard the same about the Canadians. The libs jumped up and down screaming the economy will be ruined we will go to war. What happened? These countries all came around, more jobs for Americans, billions of dollars coming into the country.

One would think the stupid would learn. However, it is evident some are to dense to observe the obvious. The fact that China has devalued it's currency means Trump's plan is working. China is eating a loss because otherwise they will lose this trinket market. That means the American consumer is not eating any of the tariffs costs. China is putting billions of dollars into our tax coffers. There are dozens of places outside China where these trinkets can be made. There are not dozens of places where China can buy the soybeans they need. China is not stupid. They stocked up on soybeans prior to the tariffs. They are also buying soybeans from Brazil. These measures are only band aids. Their stockpile is drying up and soybeans from Brazil are much more expensive. The Chinese are tough negotiators but they are in a lose lose situation. Trump has already put them on notice that he will tighten the screws some more. The Chinese have no leverage to counter this. Their only hope is the Trump haters can gain traction and derail negotiations. That is not going to happen, Trump doesn't blink.

As for the American farmer. They are used to prices fluctuating. A short time ago corn was $8 a bushel, now it is less than half that. Farmers are prepared for that. They store crops when prices are low and sell them when they climb. They also realize that when this trade dispute ends there will be a huge demand and prices will climb. I saw evidence of that this week. The fed announced record harvests but future prices are climbing.

However libs don't let the facts get in the way of your narrative. I find your fiction amusing.

How could you seriously believe that? Where is all of that extra money going? If anywhere, I'd say it is in government spending, especially in the military.

The sky was always falling during Obama's 8 years, too, and that was meant to justify the constant Congressional obstruction by Team Red.

At 156,562,000 workers, American has more workers today than ever in our history and they just enjoyed the largest pay hike in nearly a decade.

    THAT'S WHAT WINNING LOOKS LIKE!

Now just keep praying no one actually looks at the trend Trump inherited. Jobs and pay have been on the same upward trend since 2009. I'd provide the graphs again, but it is obvious this is about feels over facts. As long as people haven't paid any attention at all to any of these numbers over the course of the Obama administration, or if they don't care about the facts, then maybe, just maybe you can trick them into thinking Trump deserves credit.

How come you won't actually look at GDP over time and learn what a trend line is?

    Trend's obvious.

    Obama's GDP
    4th 16 - 1.8%
    3rd 16 - 1.9%
    2nd 16 - 2.3%
    1st 16 - 1.5%
    4th 15 - 0.4%
    3rd 15 - 1%
    AVERAGE 1.48%

    Trumps GDP
    3rd 18 - 3.5%
    2nd 18 - 4.2%
    1st 18 - 2.2%
    4th 17 - 2.3%
    3rd 17 - 2.8%
    2nd 17 - 3%
    AVERAGE 3.00%

    Trump's doubled it!

Yes, I know. You are determined to cherry pick instead of looking at the real trend while pretending you are addressing the trend.

Trump's been President for 6 full quarters, I compared to Obama's final 6 full quarters, which you described as "an upswing".

Well, Trump's more than doubled Obama's "upswing". That fact could not be more clear.
