I sped off to work not realizing it was hump day. Looks as though it may become hump night. I'll take it.

i believe in god and his son jesus christ, and because i do i can say this:

those people are dead and that is a tragedy, but they are dead because this country has no code, they are dead because this country has no honor, and god was watching.

A debatable topic best discussed in the appropriate forum.

i was led here by someone in a position of power, and i have only responded to those who have responded to me.

i don't wish to debate it further

My wife and I are thinking about taking a train trip from Texas to Washington state later this month. A Twofer bucket list vacation: train trip across the country and visit the sights around Seattle-Tacoma.

It's a two-day ride to LA, 5 hour sit then 34 hour ride to Seattle. We'll have a bedroom for the entire trip.

Those two cows are partly responsible for the pollution in the air we breath. I say we eat 'em so that they stop flatusing.

We are going to spend the afternoon at Casswell Beach, NC where our dogs can run free. And then a sweet restaurant overlooking
the water that serves delicious fish tacos.

Sounds interesting. Of course, I can hardly sit still on the 45 min commuter train to work, but guess if I had a bedroom, I could last longer.

Seattle area is beautiful, but Portland is better. Post pics!

Even slaves managed to learn to read. It is in the nature of human beings to learn. The schools have become a handicap.

i agree, but i am too cowardly, weak, and lazy to sacrifice for freedom. i choose to wait for heroes to do it for me.

No need for a hero. Just have someone search youtube for a "how to read" video. ;-)

Yellow carrots and red celery are fine I guess.

But I mostly buy frozen mixed vegies and add these to my homemade soups and stews and seafood combos.

It's the mountains for me on vacation. I figure it took us billions of years to evolve to the point where we could crawl out of the sea.

    Why go back?

I have been to Galveston Island once and it was a really great trip.

The shrimp and gumbo (ocra) are great at the restaurants there.

Abalone, lobster, and rock fishes are the main reasons to go back into the sea -- with a spear and a grab bag of course !!

This is an interesting point and I think you are probably referring to resilience.

Even so we all depended on good teachers in good schools once.

    Not everyone has that access.

I thank God for the Pope and his many priests and nuns who teach in their Catholic schools.

I learned things in elementary school there that many other people don't even learn at the college level, like philosophy and science.
