For real abalone, you would need to find a really upscale Japanese sushi restaurant.

Red Lobster Inc. has fairly good lobster. The best is the freshly frozen kind there. Their lobster comes from New England which is the lobster capital of the world.

I have not been down (south) to Henderson lately. My X-fiancée used to live there and her mom still does. We used to go visit her mom there. We ate out but mostly at traditional American white table cloth restaurants.

FFS I am now on Cell # 3 for the week and Cell #4 in the last two weeks. Samsung sucks.....well the first one didn't because it got run over with a car and still worked albeit not safely with a shattered screen. #2's screen shattered the very first time I dropped it. #3 just lost all stored data yesterday and today decided just to never turn on again, so I am now on #4. If anything happens to it, I am going back to a long string and a couple empty cans.

Um... I'm in a Hunt for a Red October.
Normally October is full of fall colors like orange and brown.
    The occasional red leaves.
    Maybe a lucy goosey friendly Cardinal { that's a bird }
will decide to dress up as Little Red Riding hood for Halloween..
    Maybe s'not.

If you don't expect anything you won't be disappointed if you don't get anything.

Can you believe it. We just suffered through Irma and now we have Nate to contend with. They say he is traveling fast so maybe he will be done and gone before you leave for Galveston.
Big or little a hurricane is a hurricane, I don't trust them. Hurricanes are unpredictable and the company they bring with them are messy, tornadoes, floods and storm surge to name a few.
I hope you have fun n Galveston, if you don't go there is always the Texas State Fair if it is still going on.

Tonight's dinner fare is seafood combo mariscones del mar with rice and stir fried vegies.

    Simmering now.

I need to finish my state tax return. Mailed the Fed today.

So no wine or booze with dinner tonight.

It has been a brutal and late hurricane season this year.

Because you abstain from meat on Fridays ?
    Good for you.
My Old man { devout Catholic } used to always buy salami and
prosky from a special Bohemenian Butcher.During Lent he would
actually wait until 12:00 midnight to make himself a salami and
swiss on rye sandwich. With his usual Blatz or Stroh's bottle of beer.
Now that is dedication. To the finer things in life.
Like good Rye bread and homemade cold cuts.
    With Guldens mustard,of course.

Too late now, but primarily I text a lot (often voice texting) so that part is more important than the phone part and cheap phones tend to be a PITA for texting..

Correct. Another way of putting it is "desire and ignorance lie at the root of suffering" By wanting something, people suffer by not having it. If it's air, food, water or other basic necessity to live, that's one thing. A BMW, to be rich or some other material desire, that's a problem for them.

I find it more than Odd,but rather a phenomena, all these
humans and their iPods and latest communication gadgets.
Not that I'm a fan of Garrison Keillor and his milquetoast
pansyfied - Prairie Home Companion - crapola.
Keillor says he won't even own a TV.
I have spent over $ 12,ooo dollars this year on new Hi-Fi
equipment and I'm kinda just getting started. No More Motorcycles.
Too old for that. But why would I wanna load up on stuff most every
American own.I'd be like always buying Baloney.Or the latest
    new beer.
I don't want what other people own.I don't post like other folk.
I don't write or think like other folk.
Consider me a little like one of my favorite Philosophers ... :
    Henry David Thoreau.
" Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing
that it is not fish they are after. "
" It's not what you look at that matters,it's

    what you see. "

if you expect freedom, it is okay to be disappointed when you don't get it.

not everyone has the courage to sacrifice for freedom, and the oppressed must find the serenity to accept the things they can't change.

THE Most important thing a Real man can possess is his Freedom.
Which is why there were so many Hobos, years ago.

" The wise man is always free ... Because he does what
he wishes, the free man is wise. One who acts with wisdom
has nothing to fear, for fear lives in sin. "
    -- St.Ambrose

agreed because you can't fix stupid, or everyone would be free.

they must accept their place beneath the wise men who are free, and maybe just maybe, they might learn a thing or two.

We are now in an Era where things like a Good Samaritan Law
means almost nothing. The ability for humans to help other
humans who may be dying or severly stranded at the side of a road,
struggling.Meaning we as a Society are Deconstructing.
We are becoming less and less civil and ethical. And more and
more greedy for the latest newfangled gadget. This is learned behavior.
Not too dissimilar from the end days of the Roman Empire.
