No, they wont last that long. I have two male housemates and an elderly stepdad I watch over. Since I only cook when Im in the mood, theyre very appreciative of real food. Lol

That's very nice of you. I imagine you don't have much time for yourself. They look good. I made some ziti for breakfast. Ran out of eggs on Friday. I need to get to the store. Sometimes, it's fun to have dinner for breakfast.

Women, on average, don't see physical appearance to be as primary as men do. Thousands of centuries of genetic evolution produced this. Women more often are attracted to confident, kind-but-successful, "masculine" men than to mainly physical appearance.

 

Nothing in my posts suggest a woman is not intelligent or articulate. Sexual desire, attraction, and (their preferred sexual activities)types of sex are individual to everyone. There are similarities, but there is diversity among those with similar tastes.

I agree that women have diverse tastes, and some would be interested in many different things. Most I've talked with seem to simply be against doing the same thing every time for year after year. I think I could even make a statement like, "Most folks, men and women, don't like the same thing every time, year after year". I feel safe making that statement. Divorces are common. Sexual problems are common. Folks have a difficult time talking about these things for fear of the one they love being insulting and making them feel ashamed.

I think knowing ourselves well, and accepting what we know about ourselves is the key to not feeling ashamed, no matter what anyone thinks or says about us.

 

Salmon baked on cedar is great. So is salmon that is smoked in other ways.

 

Yuck, I hate salmon except in patties. Same with tuna steaks. Prefer flat fish, grilled or blackened.

And about salmon, maybe you don't live near an ocean and have only had grocery store farmed salmon. If you can get a salmon fresh off an ocean fishing boat, or catch one yourself, you will find it unrecognizable compared to farmed salmon! I can't imagine ANYONE saying "yuck" about fresh ocean-caught salmon.

I'm not the type to "kiss" anyone unless I know them for quite a long time. For most folks, this would be a freakishly long time. It's just the way it is. I've learned my lessons and who I am. Doesn't mean I don't have desires like men do.

No, blackened is a seasoning mix of cajun spices. Fish is usually sprinkled with seasoning and sauteed in butter.

My adversion to salmon is its texture as much as the taste. I had it in a 4 star restaurant in the Columbia River Valley in Oregon, so it was definitely fresh. Didnt care for it. I tried a fish called 'tile' when I was in Galveston recently and didnt like it for the same reason. Too thick.

Not saying its for everybody, but its an easy option for anyone who's computer literate. Getting to know someone new in the safety of your own space and under your own rules is preferable to one night stands or loneliness. IMHO, of course.

 

Oh, sorry. I thought you meant the opposite. I don't know anything about online dating services. I do think they are all about ONS. I'm not into those. I'm not into OLD, or the dangers. None of us can really trust anyone.....even when we think we know them, we don't.

Loneliness is not an issue, but a lack of sexual satisfaction, is. That is something different and being someone who does not hookup, living in a hookup society, is not helpful. It makes it much more difficult.

I'd rather talk online and get through the few times I let myself believe there is someone out there for everyone. That's not something I believe. It's like soulmates. It's a delusion. It's a very tempting one, though. We all want to believe these fallacies. It all takes work. It isn't easy. And, some really should not be out there, because they make it worse for those who are trying to be as sincere as they are capable.

IMO this is not the way dating sites usually turn out, not suggesting them, just saying she was basically one in a million.
A 60 yr.old friend of mine joined an online dating site about 18 years ago. She started to talking to a 67 yr.old US Army retired guy in Germany ,then they sent pics of each, after a couple months phone calls.
He said I think I've fallen for you can I fly over and meet and marry you. This guy was German and spoke German and English but was an American soldier based in Germany, who early in life married an Hawaian woman that died awhile earlier.
They met at Panana City,Fl airport. He had a big bourket of flowers and gave her a big kiss. They married in 2 weeks. First thing he did was pay off her morgage and give her $25,000 for spending cash. Bought her a new car and they lived very well in between arguments for 14 years till he dropped dead at the dinner table 4 years ago. He was eating and all of a sudden his head fell into his plate. It was quick and IMO the best way to go. She is still alive but he was the best of the two,imo.

 

That's a lovely fairy tale that happened to become real. I'm glad she and he had some time together.

My other post suggests that you can probably find a woman who would actually appreciate you even with all your perceived faults - which are, after all, superficial.

 

I disagree with the first part of this. If this is what you meant, it was not clear to me.

As to the second part, I have expanded on the reasons I do not in a general way. Those should be sufficient for understanding.

 

Yes his health deteriated after about 75 kidneys went out. She took him back and forth to dr.s and they bought 32" boat that he drove up onto the beach because she made him mad. We only visited them 3 times and were on the boat when he lost his temper. He made the mistake of telling her she looked like crap in a bikini. Which she did very wrinkled at 70 to wear a bikini. That cost him $3000 to be pulled off the beach.
