    Would "Our Gang" aka "The Little Rascals" meet the definition as being a street gang ?

    No not by any stretch.They were exactly as named - Little Rascals -.
    Mostly getting into kiddie scuffles and skipping class { attempting Hooky }
    and generally acting as if there was literally no adult supervision of them.
    That being once outside their homes.
    They did not carry weapons or do bodily harm,short of an all
    American style sock in the kisser.They did not use profane language
    or target based on color.At worse they were headed towards juvenile
    delinquency.Never what the - Dead End Kids - were headed for.
    Who emulated and looked up to Gangsters.

    Great song! I was in fourth grade when it came out in . I had a transistor radio small enough wear around the neck and it got a lot of airplay in Colorado Springs that '66-'67.

    Classified as Rock/Indie/Alternative, it sounds a little like zydeco or Jamaican or Caribbean music mixed with pop.

    I would like to donate to PF, but the section will not accept a credit card. What to do?

    Max, It is 5:00pm and smartmouthlady and I have just had our first happy hour drink, mine being a double Jameson neat, so I hope that you understand that I can't read a long dissertation right now. Could you please give me the gist with one or two witticisms? Thanks

    paypal............and because I just got inspired by a member's username when I entered this thread........

    It's really tough to hear, but this song starts with a beat of a drum that was intended to sound like a heartbeat. Don't know if it's in this, but it's on the album.

    It's in this version.

    I could use a double shot of Jameson and a nice cold Sam Adams lager....tall and wide with an inch and a quarter of foam on top.

    Yes, Yes. I usually drink a cold bottle of Bud with a Jameson, but a cold SamAdams lager with an inch and a quarter of foam will do nicely next time.
