Too tired to eat today.

Slept 12 hours then got up and had some cold popcorn.

Then back to bed.

 

If he has a desk job he could probably be back to work in a few weeks. If he does physical work, more like months.

The more physically fit he is going into it, the better.

Some form of rehab is essential for almost everyone.

 

He works construction and by now he can hardly walk anymore.

Too much extracurricular BBall appears to have wrecked his hips and knees on both sides.

If he hasn't been using Glucosamine he should give it a shot. The liquid formulations work better as they are more completely absorbed. I use Osteo BiFlex now, as the liquid kind I used to use has been taken from the market. It seems to be more soluble than most.

It's probably because we stopped eating bugs and their chitin that we have the problem in the first place...so if he's hard core he could try raising, stir frying, and eating his own mealworms. I have been toying with that thought for awhile now....

 

He also might try avoiding caffeine, alcohol, and nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, tomatoes, eggplants) and any other foods he might be sensitive to.

IMO the flu shot I got this August also created problems.

When I finally got enough energy to get up out of bed, after sleeping about 18 hours to recover from 5 graveyard shifts in a row, I went to the store and bought (1) milk and (2) a beef roast and (3) a Cornish game hen.

Then I broiled the roast and the cleaved game hen in the oven together, ate half of the hen, and let the other half and the roast cool.

Now they are cut up into single serving sizes for vegie and meat soup and I put the pieces in freezer bags into the freezer.

I am set for the coming next 5 days of graveyard shifts with home cooked meats in the freezer as ingredients with frozen vegies (which I still have plenty of) for late lite fast dinners when I get home. Broth soup with meat and vegies and flat noodles taste great late at night (in my case early in the morning) when you are dog tired after a graveyard shift. The lite supper of soup with protein in it and vegies and carbs and hydration from the soup helps you fall asleep faster too.

I did not feel like having any alcohol the past 2 days while I have been off duty and rather prefer sleeping. I just wanted to sleep. Lemonade has been my drink of choice the past 2 days with my dinners.

I have 20 more hours of free time off duty until my next shift begins. To relax I have been watching DVD's.

The most recent DVD is "Blade Runner 2049". Good movie. Very deep. Slow to develop the plot however like a Victorian novel, and not that much action, mostly cryptic scenes which are disjunct and which lead up to the complex ending of the robot-people (replicants) having taken over the world, and the real people all having left the Earth except for a few prostitutes and land fill warriors, and the child of Rachel and Deckard trapped in a bubble because she has no immune system against germs. Had to watch it about 5 times to figure everything out.

 

The other version of this is that you would be more alone in a relationship with a bad person than when actually alone and by yourself.
