A foot deep box of "tiny bottles". There's a second one half-filled. I bring them home, then when there's enough worth making the trip, my wife takes them to either a shelter or county prison. We used to run two "second chance" homes renting rooms for people down on their luck or just out of prison (minor offences, usually drugs). Giving them a couple of these helped them get started.

My wife is very Christian. Me? Less so, but I certainly support the idea of helping those in need....my tolerance level is just a lot lower. :)

I have, however, learned a lot from my beloved wife.

I like to at least know who prepared my food even if I didn't grow it, so we can all our beans and make our own chili from our own home grown organic tomatoes.

No Corn ANYTHING EVER.All Corn Today is care of
    Monsanto. Meaning it's GMO'd to death.By Design.
    This Brunswick Stew has Corn.
Look at all those who drink corn syrup and eat corn flakes.
Eat Corn Chips like Doritos.Their helath in some way has
    declined visuably.Like I say ... It's by Design.
In an effort to reduce populations. What better way than to introduce
an ingredient into very popular items like Doritos.
Scientist have a cure for many cancers.Even Diabetes.
But then it profits them Nothing.
Whereas Big Pharma pays Big Bucks to look the other way.
    Got it now.As in GMO's { Genetically Modified Organisms }

Too much is bought at a store but since we were late last fall with gardening and greenhouse.
But we have been eating lots of tomatoes from greenhouse and froze about 30 bl.s this past couple months. A couple heads of cabbage and 3 gallons mixed turnip, mustard greens in freezer. They are looking rough now but still producing.
    Pic taken couple weeks ago.
Ones in buckets are hydroponic not organic but close we use Canna on them.
Containers are all organic we use our own compost mostly from leaves I rake up in fall and coffee grounds. Leaves are full of nutrients coffee adds nitrogen .

Raised bed greens we took up last week.

I'm pretty certain Popeye's red beans and rice has celery seed or celery salt in it; it wasn't until I added that that mine tasted at all similar. It's no good to me until it tastes like Popeye's!

How big of a farm do you have? What kind of animals?

I think I'm hopelessly addicted to falling in love. So I've given up animals less my cats and two-legged dear.

Yes we love the water and finally got a little boat to scoot around in. So far it has only been in river but hoping for bay or ICW aka Inter Coastal Waterway.

If you must rely on common chili brands at least try Amy's Black Bean
Organic Chili.Or Ray's.But then you have to add so much of yer own
fresh stuff it totally defeats what's in the can.Which is the point.
Chili from scratch is the best.Like My Mom used to make.
So you make enough for a family plus leftovers.Or for one or
2 people for almost a week.Adding stuff each leftover to jazz it up.
Fresh grind pepper.Maybe some leftover veggies.a dash of
worchesteshire and maybe fresh garlic or some tomato paste to
thicken. But then Wine is a must.Or Beer if no wine.

At our peak, my ex and I had 14 pets [including goats] in total, with a couple dozen cows or sheep that would come over to visit on a half dozen acres. I can remember our vet bills being over $500 a month. But we never did chickens. :D It was fun for a long time but finally got to be more than I wanted to manage. I will never drive another fence post in again! YAY!!! And it wasn't just the amount of work, but also that some of it was pretty dangerous. I almost killed myself a few times over the years. I figured the older I get, the less likely I will continue to get lucky. :D So as the last group of pets grew old and passed, I resisted getting any more. Then of course when my ex and I split, I went from country to city. But for many years I loved the farm life. And btw, I am a deer whisperer. Seriously. I even managed to coax a wild fawn to come to me, which did not make mother happy at all!

You have no idea... I'm pathetic. But I sure have fun!
