*sneaks back in* ok, I'll try it. If it is similar to bouillabaisse, it has to be good.

Id try it all. Only thing I couldn't bring myself around to trying was chitlens. I wasn't sure if it was suppose to smell that bad.
I tried a dried smoked herring once. It was called a Blind Robin and it was gross.
I had a friend who made the best Pickled Salmon. That was excellent.

porcupine liver and heart is chewy i hear. it has to be barbie que'd first, because those organs are first to rot when the animal is skinned and cut open.

This was great. She marinated it and then put it in the refrigerator for some time. Kosher Picked Salmon and it was the best.

When I was growing up we ate these in gravy.

My mom would wash them and put them in a pan with breadcrumbs and cover them. They come out and eat and then get so big they have a hard time getting back in the shell. Then she would cook them in crushed tomato to make a gravy. We pulled them out of the shell with toothpicks and sucked the juice out of the shell. 100% delicious.
You use to go in old school Italian stores and they had them in big wicker baskets. No more.

Ahahaah that's exactly what my brother thought!
Best thing was watching him get sooooo grossed out at the table.

No kidding though. They really did taste excellent. You just have to get past the little eyes looking at you all sad like. Ahahahaha

Here is a link to a crab shala recipe, a cook can change it a bit and make it her own. Grouper throats are just a meaty portion it isn't an entrail or anything like that. Some fish markets sell them. The lady I knew would add them to her crab shala it was a delicious dish. http://cooks.com/en73w659

Yeah. The snails that Ive ever gotten in a restaurant are not the same type of snail. The ones we use to have were much smaller snails.

I had to smile reading babbaluci. We call slugs and people who act like slugs babaluches.

If that Babaluch could move any slower, we'll all be dead of old age before she gets here.

I like to move fairly quickly and I have a cousin who could be described as a Babaluch. Thanks for the new word, can't wait to use it.

escargot is kosher and not just for the french.

i would draw the line at cooking up road kill only because the roads are polluted, and it does not appear safe for consumption.

but animals from nature that haven't come into contact with industry are how humans survived and evolved.

I should have been born in the south. I've always loved Alabama, Joe Diffie, and others.

    Its plain old delicious.
I have no clue how it works with eating road kill. I knew this guy once who had a front loader and he would take fresh killed deer. For what purpose I don't know.
