Smartie's Bar & Grill #69

I always add some kind of carbs to each of my meals.

Lately it has consisted of flour tortillas.

For soup, I slice these into squares and add them to the soup in the bowl.

For sandwiches, I pan fry them in a sprinkle of oil and then make a wrap out of them. They taste better fried. A Latina girlfriend I once had taught me this.

For tomorrow I will make 3 BLT wraps (bacon, lettuce, tomato) for work.

 

I can fart "Hail To The Chief".

 

I finished voting already by mail. And I know lots of people who already have as well.

In our state there is an anti gerrymandering proposition on the ballot which is quite popular.

One particular corrupt Republican Congress-person is in a gerrymandered district and it is like pulling teeth to get rid of her. The Democrat running against her is very popular but due to the jerrymander will have a hard time defeating her.

It will be fun as usual watching election results on tv on election night. This is always worth a big bowl of popcorn every 2 years.

 

Candles are a common way to start house fires.

And house fires are in the top 10 ways that people get killed in the U.S.A.

The fetish that females have with burning candles is a dangerous obsession.

Here is the list:

4 - scuba & swimming (this one is #1 for little kids due to the drowning risk from swimming for them)

I thought I was good at chem until I got to college.

In college I found out that I was no good at it.

Wasted 3 semesters finding out. Bailed at the organic chem level.

 

My mom used to tell us kids that if our asses were not connected we would probably lose them like everything else.

 

I just buy a package of ground dark roast and spoon some of this into my old fashioned stovetop coffee pot.

 

I love avocado too.

But I seldom buy it anymore.

Sometimes for the Superbowl to make guacamole dip.

 

Had to run several errands today.

Today was my Sunday. Yesterday was my Saturday.

Took the Jeep Cherokee Sport to the Jiffy Lube for an oil change, a smog test, and a new DMV sticker.

Then I went to look for the cat in the pumpkin patch across the road. But I saw that he was sacked out with a feral girlfriend kitty, so I did not bother him.

Then I checked the mail and got a coupon for 2 pizza's for the price of one, two toppings. So I went straight to the pizza shop and got them, with sausage and bacon on them. Brought them both home and ate half of one. Put everything in the fridge for breakfast in the morning.

Then I took another nap. I always nap and sleep a lot of my own weekends. Especially after I eat.

Tomorrow morning my new week begins. It will be Friday to Wednesday -- 6 days including 70 hours.

 

For dinner at midnight:

- BLT wrap (pan seared flour tortilla, precooked bacon, sliced cherry tomatoes, shredded lettuce)

- lemonade to wash it down.

 

My cat is trying to steal my bacon off the BLT wrap.

He has absolutely no ethics.

If something is out there and he can get to it then it is his, by default.

I gave up when I couldn't grasp differential equations

 

I've done the BLT wraps, with corn tortillas. I use just a bit of mayo before I wrap it up, and while it sits from time of making to time of consuming, the mayo soaks in just a bit. YUM!

 

Mayo gives me a stomach ache.

Probably has something to do with my gall bladder removal.

 

I got called-in to work to finish another security officer's shift because he became ill around 6 a.m.

So I took it over and worked it until around 10:00 a.m. when they could find another substitute.

Got home around 11:00 a.m. and slept until now.

For brunch at 3:30 pm:

-- pizza pizza pizza (reheated to 425 F.)

-- lemonade to wash it down with.

There is still lots more pizza in the fridge where that came from.

The coupon was for 2 pizza's.

 

Adopted a dog today. He's 3 years old and failed out of drug sniffing school apparently a while back. He was in a foster home that abused their dogs (not physically, but they didn't keep them fed properly and never gave them exercise). He was then sent to a local shelter. I found out about the adoption center from a pamphlet at Ft Meade.

I was able to see him for an hour today but he needs a few minor procedures done before I can take him home. I should be good to bring him home Monday morning.

He couldn't find it even if I left it on the couch. At least according to the shelter

Beautiful dog! Even if he flunked sniffing, he's had training! Thats a def plus! Whats his name?

 

His name is Nicky. He's a little more lean than the dog in the pic I posted but pretty much looks the same. I can't wait to take him to the dog parks. I work from 4AM-11ish and then some on weekends. My fiance doesn't go to work until 10AM so most of the time, one of us will be home to hang out with the rascal.

 

Some friends have twin yellow labs. Theyre great companions. Nicky is a lucky dog! Youll have to bring him around for a cold one!

I may have gone overboard though. I bought him nearly 20 different toys, portable water bowl, a custom collar (which I will take a photo of him wearing, it's freakin awesome), a few of those giant bones dogs love to chew on, and a bunch of those green treats that are good for dogs' teeth.

The neighbors in the condo to the left of ours have a golden retriever around the age of 4, but has the energy of a puppy. I'm hoping they will play together and tucker each other out in the evenings. Assuming my neighbors are cool with it lol

 

While dozing off last night I heard an awful sound coming from the top pasture. I told my wife and she knew it was "that fox". Then my goats started complaining. I couldn't sleep so up to the pasture I went. I took a head count and came up two shy. So I started walking and looking. I found Ginger so now I was one shy. Gingers baby was missing and all I could picture was finding a dead goat. So I walked and looked. ..walked and looked. Then I heard a faint baaa ..baaa.. The goat was outside the fence alive! Got some feed and managed to get him back in and went to bed.
