That is scary, but when you step out of your comfort zone and have fancy ideas it can happen.
There was an old family store in the town where I worked when I was young anyone who was well off shopped there. The floors creaked when you walked on them and that was part of the charm. They weren’t into fancy just nice merchandise. They may not be in business now but their overhead for fancy wasn’t an issue.

There is no longer a Sears store in my state.Sears was arguably The most
dependable and solid department store in my Generation.
Of course that was when crew cuts were All the Rave and banana seat kiddie
bicycles were selling like hot cakes. The Edsel was still a joke and Long Hair
was just making it's bid { Due almost entirely from the Beatles U.S.A tour }.
Elvis was more interested in Girls,Girls.Girls and his Movie career.
Nothing is forever more today. Not even Old Age and Taxes.

The inventory tax is just one example of the kind of obstacles that make it hard for small businesses to survive. The death tax eventually finished off a lot of the survivors. Small businesses have all of the personnel problems that Big Businesses have but they cannot afford to hire an expert or in house counsel.

The current system makes it hard to hire, hard to manage and hard to fire without a battalion of professional specialists to deal with it all.

Eddie Lampert has been driving stakes into the heart of Sears and then pulling them out and resurrecting the walking dead critter for years now.
I think the Amazon anaconda will finally squeeze the last few drops out of what's left soon.

It is due to the ease and quickness of buying online and then
paying no state tax and free shipping.I spent around $ 15 grand in 2
years at an audiophile site in Chicago_On Stereo equipment.
Plus the death of strip malls. My understanding is that my local
Sears store could no longer afford the rent. The rent exceeded the
capacity to bring in customers and therefore dollars.

The rent was apparently a big factor in the Barney's bankruptcy.

This was just regular service until I got the bill and it was a holy mess moment. There was nothing wrong just an oil change, tire rotation, new blades for wipers, and etc. the bill was ridiculous. I called another Honda dealer and the price they gave me was 80.00 less than what I paid. I told them I would see them next service time.
Hondas are great vehicles wouldn’t have anything else. This is our second Honda.

To seek proof just go to YouTube and - Jay Leno's Garage - as
he showcases and explains Hondas unbelievable past when arriving
in the U.S. Honda introducing their Honda 50 motorbike.
It went on to outsell every motorized vehicle in our History.More than the
Model T or Volkswagen beetle.Selling over 100 million Honda 50 alone.
It was very dependable. And very cool looking." They were dead reliable "- J.Leno.
according to a person who collects Cars and Motorcycles and knows their
    history.

Sears eventually started charging for their large and heavy but
compound Catalogs. That may have been an early warning.
Sears and Montgomery Ward had the bestest of Catalogs.

The food stamp office wasn't allowed to take the card that I found. So, I tried tried to track down the owner, myself. There was a report of his stay in the county jail. I decided that I didn't really want to talk to him.

I'm starting to see results from my yard work. These last several years, I've really let it go. I have a lot to do yet, but I can at least stand to look at it now.

Each week had it's setting changed and shot on location.
I purchased from Barnes & Noble the First Season about 3 months ago.
I had the 3rd Season from a Thrift shop a few years back.
Two young men driving a convertible Corvette Stingray
in every kind of weather. They had a luggage rack atop the truck.

Good morning barflies. Overdid it yesterday but made a big pot of veggie beef soup and a chocolate sheet cake. Sick of fast food and take out... this oughta last awhile. Not to mention feed dad for a few days. ;)

Been watching Pioneer Woman... sure like to watch her cook... she smiles the whole time. :)

She does have a great show and so does Alton Brown. I love his recipes. Pioneer woman has a great recipe for cornbread.

You still need to take it easy. Don’t overdo which is easy to do.

Letting other people's perceptions color your perspective on yourself as a person is the pathway to insanity....
