Gonna do interior work during the winter. I want to get as much outside work done, as I can, while the weather is decent.

There's a lot that needs doing, inside. Much more needing done than on the outside.

football game.Ending with a drop kick from 40 yards to win the match.
    I mean,game.

Do you have tools.... skilsaw... level... hammer... speed square... drill and bits.. tape measure of course... sheetrock knives... etc. I buy a lot of tools at thrift stores... but it is buyer beware.

Did you know that landscaping stones belong in a trio or was it by chance?

Most of the inside work revolves around the garbage can. I have clutter! There are set, traversable pathways...

Anyone want a telescope? I have eighteen of them.

Threes are a common feature; all odd numbers are. Tibetan Buddhists seem to hold an affinity for the number seven.

    Three just works.

Funny.... most of my work is outside work and consists of burning my scrap wood. But right now it just sits there gathering vermine. This County consists of pine forests and it has been pretty dry. The place is a tinderbox and my lawn is turning to dirt. But plenty of combustible materials lying around. When it cools down.... record setting heat...and starts raining again I will do a lot of burning.

I really don't think the words " good artist " have ever been
used historically. It would be like asking on this hears Pop Stand
    what a " Good Poster " constitutes.
I mean, besides the need or urge to relieve themself
    toilet-wise.

Again you have to Live whereupon you dwell or sleep.
meaning Inside not outside. That is a first priority.
Granted when out setting up a good campsite, especially
in winter, the opposite holds true. You have to establish a good
ground game { fitting site for tying down a tent or tarp or
    makeshift lean-to.}Then a place for a campfire.
Trees are very important.Just the right size width to
use a tarp.Or store high enough so bears don't get curious
    as to Eats.

I'm surprised that you neglected to mention the most important thing regarding winter camping.

One must select a suitable companion, with which to exchange body heat.

Odds are dynamic where evens are static. Why I know this, I don’t have a clue.

Good morning, y'all - Happy Friday!

Sounds like our neck of the woods. We shattered heat records on Wednesday and Thursday and thank God a cold front is blowing in later today but still no rain - we were bone dry through the entire month of September. Yesterday, the landscapers who take care of the church up the street were mowing (why, I have no idea - I haven't mowed in weeks) and they were kicking up an enormous cloud of dust. It's been awful - my wife and I stumbled across a great deal on some Oakland Hollies a couple weeks ago and we bought nine of them, but the ground is so hard and dry it doesn't make any sense to plant them yet. All my Fall landscaping plans are dead in the water right now.

We need to get together and do some weather sharing. Our September was unusually cool with double the normal amount of rain.

    Hoarder.....

48 consecutive days without appreciable rain, then one day of spit and dribble, and another week of no rain. Supposedly, Sunday-Monday comes the cool front and rain. One can only hope.

Must be nice. We're dyin' down here in the Southeast. We've had a massive High pressure system parked down here for the past month and a half and it hasn't budged until today.

The farmers are getting hit real bad, too - even the livestock have been effected. The only crop that hasn't gotten burned to a crisp since August is cotton, which is in full bloom right now. It's been pretty cool driving past the cotton fields the last couple weeks - it's 99 freakin' degrees out and it looks like everything is covered in snow.

Same here. I keep an Almanac of the weather and everything that's going on with the trees and plants in our area and we haven't had any decent rain since mid August. Right around that time I got the North 40 bush hogged and everything out there is either dead or barely alive. Ordinarily most of that stuff would be a couple feet high by now, but it got frizzle-fried instead. That's been one of the few mixed blessings from this drought.

Incidentally, anyone who may have given a passing thought to taking a spin up the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive in Virginia to catch our Autumn finery should forget about it. It looks like the only colors in Mother Nature's palette this year are going to be burnt ochre and lots and lots of brown. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same thing down in the Smokies.
