My girl can put a pile of meat in the freezer for her kids and not blink.

Elk is food of the gods. Basically free range beef, no hormones, no antibiotics, no GMO. Just pure red meat right off the land.!

I knew a guy that was a big elk hunter. His family made steaks and sausages out of the meat. It was so good.

    Nothing like deer, at all.

    Happy Monday morning, fellow bar-ites...

Little too quiet in here, maybe if I drop a rack of glasses someone will wake up....

Welcome to December, and for those of us who flinch when it's mentioned, 23 shopping days to Christmas....

    That's cool!

It looks like it should be a door to a secret passageway.

I paid 30 dollars for it. Couldn't pass it up. The top and sides are hand carved... I guess... and the doors alone are worth 30 bucks.

Rose wood? A very pretty piece. I'm sure you will find some place to put it.

It looked secure, but not safe from damage.

I'm not too familiar with food purchases such as quality meats being
described as " good stuff ". How does that work.
I'm a gonna cook us up a mess of " good stuff " fellas.
    Sounds like a bunch of men at a hunting lodge { Bungalow in the woods }
who haven't showered in days plus most of em forgot any toiletries
like a toothbrush and normal soap.Since there ain't a know shower
anywho.Just a big old porcelain sink used mostly for ice and beer.
But they a gonna prove how real men can rough it and cook up a
mess of crud like tins of Hormel chili with spam mixed-in.
If the smell don't knock ya fer a loop the taste will surely dull yer
senses for any sweets.Which are off limits for hunting trips.
Real men don't cotton sweets on a hunting trip.Nor do the
galsy appreciate any fowl or deer being brought home as if
the " good stuff ". Most men are fully aware of this.I think.

I agree, but hope no harm came. I have a lovely chifforobe my father refinished (it had been his mothers) and when we moved south, it sustained a tiny bit of damage on the scrollwork on the edge where the rope slipped off the edge of the carpet gaurding the corners.

This one is incomplete. It needs the bottom. I will measure and see if I can find something that works. If not, I will just put legs on it. It will work even without modifying or adding to it.

    Morning.
2 down with crud here, and one returned today. I've hung bulbs of garlic on my office door, and the Lysol is handy....

Looks like a good piece of furniture. When Furniture was done right.
By skilled craftmen who took their time and used good wood and
weren't in some hurry.I can tell good furniture by it's overall
aesthetics. The color of wood or how it was stained and how thick the
woodwork. The overall trueness of the intent. If it's to be a Victorian
piece or French Provincial.Or southern colonial as an Ethan Allen.
I like good furniture but also like Retro 50's style furniture the
kind used in the TV Series - Mad Men - .

    Bulbs of garlic?

Now, THAT is some serious crud.

Might I recommend something a little stronger for the living dead roaming your office...

That's because it is a secret passageway.

Did you think the wardrobe was the only way into Narnia?
