I need to move my favorite chair closer to the refrigerator. I got up, walked the fifteen feet, opened the door, and couldn't remember what I went there for.

Try working outside with hand tools. Spend way too much time looking for stuff.

And do not get fooled into complacency by thinking
social media bosses also don't believe in FTPeople.
Where Twitter,Google and Facebook exists at and for

If it wasn't for the news media we would think everything is just great and then we watch the news networks...sigh.

I chipped a tooth and had to go to the dentist today. The dental tech said it was the new norm (all the procedures) which was a sobering moment. I can't handle this being a new norm.

My head explodes every time I hear NEW NORMAL. MSM wants us to believe this virus is forever... so many believe it. That's so absurd. :truce:

I had a good long phone conversation with my eldest niece last night. She lives in Jersey City NJ. While I don't know the particular status, she called it THE hot spot between NY and NJ. She said the deaths from COVID were somewhere around 25% in that immediate area. She didn't leave her apartment for over two months, and has just recently stepped out to see the world again.

I don't question there has been a virus, and there have been deaths from it. What I do question is how this has been fed to the public, and the continuing idea that we all should be living in fear.

I know, no politics in the Bar.

Sounds like what I suffer from.Short term memory loss.I have had it for
years but it's gotten worse.I have a good memory but not about things
immediate.Like what I want to do.If I want to do like 3 or 4 things right away
I will forget half of it.I usually make up a Grocery list before shopping
and half the time forget it.Because as a Batch I am always in some hurry.
I have no help. But I'm not complain'n mind ya.My overall health is good.
I eat healthy.Take my supplements and am off prescription meds like
by blood pressure crap.Short Term memory loss can be creepy. You may want to do
something you feel is important and less than a minute later totally forget
    what it was.
I seldom forget why I am at PF.However sometimes I do have problems
as to why I am at this Pop Stand since No Politics is the rule.
I don't understand that yet can seem to remember dat.I can remember
    certain stuff that don't { doesn't ? } make sense.That's got nothing to
do with Short Term memory loss. It's called Wisdom.Which I am tole
    comes with age.
    Given that Aristotle said :
    " ... man is ... a political animal."

And explained in De Anima the states of Virtue by which the
Soul possesses by way of affirmation or denial.
    There are 5 in number.
    1} Art
    2} Scientific knowledge
    3} Practical wisdom
    4} Philosophical wisdom
    5} Intuitive reason
We do not include judgement and opinion because in these
    we may be mistaken.
Um ... what with all this " we " bidness ... Pops

We are also in what they labeled a hot zone area. A few weeks ago I was reading the newspaper. When I was flipping through the pages there was 6 pages of obituaries. Normally there may be half of a page or maybe a page full or death notices. I was shocked when I saw that.

Originally people around here were fearful. But for the most part that ended once it was figured out what was going on and what was needed to stay virus free. Most people wear masks like its no big deal. Ive not seen or heard of anyone arguing over if you are wearing a mask or not. Personally I could care less if you dont wear one. Just keep your distance.

I did not pay attention to distance or a mask when a utility guy came to the door and he was overly friendly. I knew he was killing the clock and totally forgot to tell him to distance himself from me. That night I listened to...Im trying to politely explain something that was far from polite ...I'll skip that part and just say, I was reminded by people who love me how careless that was. Of course I vowed not to cough but my brain was sending a cough signal. Im not kidding. Like my brain over-road my senses of, ok Ill keep you quiet and listening but guess what. Im gonna make you cough. 2 out of 3 aint bad. lol
Bottom line here is no one seems fearful. They seem regular but are wearing masks and keeping their distance.

Nor should you.Play follow the leader with the nouveau demands that
we have us a " new Normal ".Right there reeks of Unamericanism.
Plus since when can " normal " be predictable. It's like Grandma being
told her way of making Apple Pie is old-fashioned and fuddy-duddy.
She needs to Be For Real.
Adopt a " new normal " way of Baking apple pie.
Sounds like something a certain former U.S. President would
call for.Who wouldn't know a rolling pin from a performance by
    Rolling Thunder Bikers.
