    Whew!

    We just narrowly avoided a lockdown in Virginia. The governor in neighboring Maryland shut the whole state down, but our wonderful governor who some of you might remember

    [IMG]

    closed schools for the rest of the year, recreational and entertainment businesses along with hair stylists/barbers and some others for 30 days, and restaurants are only allowed to serve carry-out and delivery. Other non-essential retailers are allowed to stay open as long as they have no more than 10 patrons in the building. Constructions businesses were spared altogether.

    All that begins at midnight tomorrow until further notice, and of course any business that has an employee catch the WuFlu is looking at shutting themselves down for two weeks.

    Could be worse, I guess...

    Much more Impressive than my equipment.I used the same 5 gallon
    plastic bucket as fermentor the entire time I Homebrewed.It wasn't
    until my last year as Homebrewer I graduated to All Grain.
    I started out with can malt.Then a combo of Can and crushed grain.
    I used all those hops you mentioned plus a couple more.
    Chinook,Cascade,Willliamette.I believe in my best Homebrew I used
    chinook.We're talkin' the late 90's.
    Even Before I was a regular message Board poster at Imdb.
    A couple years ago I considered making homemade wine.
    I just as soon buy a few cases on discount.I spend around $ 300- 500
    a month on Wine.Plus Cognac which runs about the same.
    I spend easily a few thou a year on bottled water.Upwards of
    $ 5,ooo a year/. My Hard Times are long over.I struggled in the early
    90's.I was Estranged from my Wealthy relatives.

    Alice - " Johnny I'm not feeling well this morning "
    Johnny - " WELL THEN START FEELIN' WELL! "
    From - The Wayward Bus - { 1957 } a very good year.
    Written by John Steinbeck and Ivan Moffat

    More dialogue
    Johnny - " Since I was in 5th Grade "
    Mildred - " Well I skipped 5th Grade because I was too smart "
    My kinda talk.Snappy and direct.That's how the Greatest generation talked.
    Think - Shack Out on 101 - { 1955 } another good year.
    With Lee Marvin and Terry Moore.
    Another couple snappy talkers.

    Alice played by Joan Collins
    Johnny played by - Combat TV Series { Rick Jason }

    On cable right now
    I know ... Cable Schmabel .
    BTW ... Them Greatest generation also liked their coffee black.
    I know ... Black ... Schmack.

    We're almost completely shut down. You can hear stray bits of paper blowing down the street.

    Going into lockdown, but the list of exemptions kinda makes it worthless.

    And, of course, I am considered (snicker) essential personnel, so I get to keep dragging my butt into work. But I have a hall pass, if anyone gets testy about it.

    Hope everyone is being cautious, and @Though Criminal, didn't the inside of the house need a paint job or two?

    Not really needing paint inside. Outside needs paint.

    Inside needs some serious decluttering.

    Hopefully it won't be Bills { Printed money }.We are nearing
    Movies like :
    - The Last Man on Earth - { 1964 } Vincent Price
    - Soylent Green - { 1973 } Charlton Heston,Edgar G. Robinson
    - The World,The Flesh and The Devil - { 1959 } Inger Stevens,Harry Belafonte

    and arguably one of the best remembered and saddest :
    A Twilight Zone :
    - Time Enough at Last - { 1959 } Burgess Meredith { one of Hollywoods
    best character actors }.Playing meek,hen-pecked Bank clerk Henry Bemis.
    His true love in life is being able to read.A true bookworm.Yet his
    domineering Wife { stands a few inches taller } refuses him this activity at
    home.So he has to read whenever possible at Work.That means on his
    lunch break.Even though he's been caught numerous times by his stern
    Bank boss,reading a book at his Clerks window hidden from sight.
    His Boss giving him an ultimatum.Just once more and he has no other
    choice but to let him go.Henry took to taking his lunch break inside the open
    Bank Vault while reading.Then it happened.A huge crashing noise and
    everything tumbling into virtual ruin.Little Henry was spared.

    Irony of all Ironies.He had a better Twilight Zone with
    - The Obsolete Man - { 1961 } opposite a favorite of mine { Fritz Weaver }.
    Weaver was in another Great Twilight Zone :
    - Third From the Sun - { 1960 }
    Meredith had one of the most powerful endings in a great
    classic ... - Of Mice and Men - { 1939 }
    As he and Lenny were forced to leave their place of employment { FArm }
    On account Lenny made more trouble for the both.This time serious
    , trouble.As they fled far and fast and stopped as the Hounds and bounty
    men were closin' in.They stopped at place near a river as George tries to
    settle down Lenny by explaining their dream place.With farm animals
    and Rabbits { Lenny has an obsession towards Rabbits }.Because they cuddly
    an all.There isn't much time as the Bounty is nearing.As George asks Lenny
    to just look straight ahead and think of that special Place.
    " Lookin' ... just keep lookin'.It's gonna be nice.There ain't gonna be no trouble.
    No fightin'.And there ain't gonna be nobody mean to nobody ".
    As George does what he thinks best. Powerfully sad.

    So far, no money blowing down the street.

    How do you remember all those movies? I'll have a bit of a song going through my head and want to listen to it, but won't even remember enough to do an internet search.

    Because Movies,Actors,Directors are my passion.
    It started when I was in High school.Watching to this day my
    favorite Movie - On the Waterfront - { 1954 } it transformed me.
    It impacted how I see and feel life.Thru the Greatness of the
    Silver Screen.I used to really celebrate The Oscars.The night of the
    Academy Awards.That started falling apart around 10 years ago.
    I really no longer care about the Academy Awards.Leftist Hollywood
    screwed it up.I'm not on the same page as Chevy Chase { politically }
    but his Hosting was unique and wonderful.Chase did not go overboard
    with Political messaging.Plus I miss the Greats like Jack Lemmon and
    Walter Matthau.Even Jack { Nicholson }.
