Our weather is so bad here today my computer is lagging like crazy. I haven't checked the rain gauge it has been raining too much to go outside.

 

It's been foggy/rainy here, the past couple of days.

 

Still cold here (45), but back to 60s tomorrow and 75 over the weekend. I might thaw out Sunday.

 

Your cold weather will move over to us for the next three days then warmer. Right now we have liquid sunshine.

 

I don't know whether or s'not to discuss the weather.

We got 5+ inches of rain, the wind was blowing so hard earlier it tilted the rain gauge. The state closed part of I-10 because the wind was blowing so hard it was creating a sand storm east of Tallahassee.

I love good food.

There are, however, some things that I cannot abide. One of those things is any meat mixed into a salad. The other is bacon bits mixed into mashed potatoes or potato soup.

If you must, you can put cheese into my pierogies. No meat, though. That's nigh to sacrilegious.

 

If it makes any difference, the meat is not mixed in. It's a hunk of beef tenderloin served alongside a wedge salad w tomatoes & mozzarella. But I'll try something more fufu this time around.

 

Her forum also disappeared, but the name has resurfaced on Twitter. The name gypzy doesn't appear anywhere so no idea if it's her or not. She willingly dropped out so I doubt if she'll be back.

 

That sounds pretty good to me.

 

I liked her, she always had something interesting to say. It would be nice if she came back.

 

It makes all the difference in the world.

A steak, or any other animal cut, is great on its own.

A salad, or vegetable* is great on its own.

The twain should never meet, or be mixed together.

That would be a food crime!

*No bacon with the green beans, either!

 

You are definitely not a southerner. You gotta season those peas and greens with some sort of meat..

 

I'm Polish/Croatian from Cleveland, Ohio.

It would be hard to explain my food preferences. Some of them might seem contradictory.

A stew or pot roast or soup is OK to have vegetables and meats mixed together, unless it's potato soup, or a vegetable side dish, or a salad. I like pork and bacon, but if they're in potato soup etc., it's just nasty.

I like a good steak, piece of chicken, or fish. If they're in a salad, forget it. It's a non-starter.

 

So then you should Know Parma and Big Chuck and Hoolihan.
Plus Ghoulardi.Big Chuck is almost adored in Parma.
A truly good guy.Hoolihan left Cleveland for Hollywood as did
Ghoulardi { Ernie Anderson } and his writer buddy Tim Conway.
Conway did - McHales Navy - and Carol Burnett.

 

And Bob Hope, among others.

 

Denny's has good potato soup. You can tell them to leave out the bacon bits.

The closest Denny's is 75miles from me.

 

Today for lunch I had a green salad topped with grilled chicken. My daddy was a butcher. We had meat when we couldnt afford beans. I'm a meat eater.

 

Don't mix the salad with the chicken!



Eat them separately.

 

Guess lettuce & tomato on your hamburger is outta the question, huh?
