Times are getting desperate out here. I'm down to having only one plant left; to stick in the ground. And with the lockdown, people are buying up all the nice plants.

The Aztec Gold Veronica is unobtainable.

There was a thread in another forum asking for predictions on what the next 2020 disaster would be. I don’t think anyone predicted a giant dust cloud from the Sahara hitting the southern states.

This probably isn’t the most opportune time to bring up the Yellowstone caldera.

Since Smartie lives in Texas, where being ordered to stay
inside and if venturing outside her premise is required by order of
the Governor to Wear a mask.Thereupon inquiring minds would like
to know What color mask will she be wearing.
Keeping in mind that these new cases are due to extensive testing
where test kits are compliments of China.Plus there is no denominator.
We have vast DATA about New Tests and cases But Not New Deaths.
Thereby No Denominator. Thus far the mortality rate of this Corn Virus
    is 0.2 %.
Seasonal Flu runs around 0.1 %.
Annually Cancer and Heart Disease deaths run around 1.2 Million people.
This Corn Virus is being " assumed " to be the cause of things
like Pneumonia,Cancer,Heart Disease,Diabetes and being overweight.

Other than walking the dog in the neighborhood, Im only venturing out once a week for groceries and a drug store run. Last wk I did Walmart so only made one stop. Today I did Aldis and Walgreens. Aldis felt safer than most stores because they took out about half their rows and have nice wide aisles now. Cherries were $1.49 lb. All those weirdos in Wa state sure know how to grow good cherries. :)

*Yes, I wear a mask. Have 2 reusable, a black one and a poinsettia print.

The dust cloud is supposed to be full of nutrients that the plants will love. The plants will love the mud showers.

    Here?

There will be a low shrubbery in the empty space between it, the camellia, and the euonymus.

I decided to research this actor since he was in many a
recognizable movie and had an impact as a quality actor.
" My Father was a drunk, although he was a fabulous character and
he and my mother always loved each other, even when they were separated. "

Um ... KInda sure about that are ya.Like how is Saharan sand
good for anything.I mean, that sounds like Potter's talk.
It's like saying a little clay is good for new Lawns.
Or Smarties new mask is good for those who decided not
to buy a new mask let alone wear one.

Remember....with perennial plants. First year they sleep, second year they creep, and third year they leap. I have hundreds of plants out of control.

I got 57 Crawdads today. Had to put them in the pool. Will purge... And then eat some. Looking at cooking options. Justin Wilson once did a breaded soft shell crawdad fried. Looked good. We are soon to be at crawdad mating season. Gotta build cages to harvest soft shells.

Nice boat, the 100 meter long Atessa IV, out on Findlay Lake today. It's owned by some guy worth $6billion. I've never heard of him; Dennis Washington. Yes, that is a small helicopter on the back. I'll try to identify it. It looks like it must have been made by the French company Aerospatiale.

I couldn’t afford the fuel. Takes a lot of cabbage to push water. My boat (avatar) will consume about 32 gallons an hour at wide open throttle.

I could say ... One can learn a lot about a person by the mask they wear.
    But I won't.
God and his Archangels might take offense.

It is called making something good out of something that could go either way.
It is a natural happening, not an evil happening. I will have to say other than hoping it doesn't upset my asthma it is a welcome diversion.

Next year, if the coreopsis does what mine does, you will be happy. Maybe mine has a large spot to spread and spread it does. My coreopsis is single it looks like yours is a double.

Have you noticed the sunrise and sunset sky looking any different? Im reading the beauty of the sunsets can be enhanced by the dust cloud.

I highly doubt that.In fact that makes No sense whatever.
    Even a 1,000 h.p. drag boat would not consume that.Think a dual
outboard Bass Boat used in fishing tournaments. They only need that
    kind of power to get to their favorite fishing spot { well concealed }
fast. Now ... Maybe a twin engine 75 foot Bertram at full throttle may consume
about half that { 16 gallons } but that is also cutting it close.
Keep in mind that real Marinas { few and far between } have gas
Marina gas { Non-ethanol }. Because ethanol is added universally
to all gas { around 10 % }. Ethanol is notorious for slowly wearing away
a combustion engine.Especially small engines like your lawn mower.
Phase separation is enhanced by putting in E10 { 10% ethanol fuel }.
Water normally works it way to the bottom of a gas tank.

But at what cost.As in overall air pollution.Like at what cost is an
solar eclipse.Watch w/o strong sunglasses and you may severely
    damage your eyes.
This isn't something like Public Education where kids are weaned
    for years with anti-American Indoctrination.
My city of Cleveland had about THE most polluted river in
America at one time. That being the Cuyahoga river. It was so polluted
    there is footage of a man walking { more like jumping around }
crossing it.There was such debris.Plus I think it caught on fire onced.
    Not to be confused with Ghoulardi { Famous Late Night TV Horror Host }
shooting off firecrackers in his creepy dark, fish eye lens little hovel of a studio.
Riding his motorcycle down the hallways of WJW TV-8.

You bring up a good point about the cost.
I read about this Sahara dust a few years ago. The dust wrecks havoc with coral reefs and some people have health problems from inhaling it. Im sure there are other negative effects but I cant remember off hand what they are. On wait I remember one more. The dust makes the air temperature hotter because the dust heats up. The benefits are the dust is rich in minerals and has an adverse effect on hurricane development. Last but not least is the sunsets are suppose to be beautiful.
