He described specific death threats from the leader of a biker gang.

I think maybe you are a little confused.
Was it not some little kid playing hooky he spotted
while on watch. The Kid was riding his new bicycle he
got for Christmas, months earlier.I think he swore that
    Kid flipped him the bird.
Was that the Kid from the Biker gang.?

I kind of miss him. I jokingly told him once his life could be the basis for on of those TLC reality shows. His daily routine (which he described in excruciating detail at times) was at least as interesting as the antics of those Krazy Kardasian Kidz.

One poster’s opinion (and I admittedly may be a minority of one on this topic).

The Gopro head cam was made for him. An edited week of night patrol and food prep would make one good episode in a reality show. And just think of all the ad revenue! ;-)

He seemed like a nice guy with a food fixation. Eh, whatcha gonna do, the come, they go.

I occasionally go back and visit an old forum, or should say I did. Last time I was there, they had become a rabid pack of political *****, and it was a gardening forum! Bad mix, that. I'll stick with my *.edu sites for questions and info.

    So, what's for dinner?

He inspired me. I thought "why can't I post random stuff on the internet". That's when I started rambling. And I kinda like it.

Or be yourself. Too much work to pretend to be someone you're not. ;)

Happy Saturday, barflies. Another sizzling day in Big D. Nobody can convince me any virus could survive 110 heat index. I'd say you can touch all the surfaces you want... Esp metal ones.

" OUR Heat Index " Eh. Kinda taking a lot for granted.
The weather in any county or state is not up for auction.
It IS what it is.One can change the tires on their car or the
shirt on ones back.Shoes and even socks or no socks.
But you can't change the weather.
Thankfully for us Old Timers that was taught in school.

Before someone " can be themselves " will require many, many
hours of Being themself.Singular.But throughout the human condition
that is not a piece of cake.Because God introduced mankind as a test.
Not to take life for granted.Or have everything made easy breezy, let alone
handed to them on a silver platter. Therefore the middle word of Life is
" If ". As in ... If only I knew what to do.Where to go.How to react.
    How not to react.

" The most useful piece of learning for the uses of Life
is to unlearn what is untrue. Antisthenes { Cynic school of Philosophy }.

    Morning kids.

I am gritting my teeth for hopefully one more week, then free to terminate employment for one of the biggest thorns in my side. Apparently some people do not understand the basics: You do not slow down your speed of production, to fill your 8 hours, when others are overloaded. When the words 'team work' are used repeatedly during your interview, and periodically during your employment, perhaps you need to look up what it means.

Normally, I will try and work with people if their attitude is at least positive. But when they display an 'I'm bored' face, and drag themselves around like they are carrying a major burden of work, I've reached the end of my rope.

Not sure about anyone else, but I stopped keeping up with current events. I follow politics frequently and when I get frustrated with issues I quit paying attention to it and go find other things to do to take my mind off the news. Got me a 7 piece gold panning kit and I am dusting off the metal detector and gettin a fishin license.

Reminded of an employee I let go once. She told me she was a witch and put a curse on me. For years after I wondered if everything bad that happened me was her doing. (She was drinking on the job. Replaced the liquid in a jar of cocktail onions with gin and sipped it all day,)

    G morning y'all. Happy Moanday.

There is rumor that alcohol is involved also, but we have no proof (no pun intended) so it doesn't come into play, though it would explain a number of things.

I don't normally 'look forward' to terminating someone, but this will be a relief not only for me, but several of her co-workers.

Whad ya go and do that fir.I wouldn't be a messin' with one them
    Witches.That got ways.I haven't figger'd it out just yet.
Plus why would someone udder than a witch go to all the trouble
of emptying out the liquid from a jar of cocktail onions only to fill
with gin. That would make the gin taste funny.
Gin is cheap enough.Plus you need to start explaining all the bad stuff
that happned to yuz.Make for good reading.Feel free to embellish.
But don't gin up too mush.
